I read the Rain Wild Chronicles recently, SB. I thought they were pretty good, tho not quite as compelling as Fitz's story.

Read Last Legends. Thought it was decent but not great.

Currently reading Justin Cronin's "The Passage". A very well written post-apocalyptic thriller.

hey Av, have you read any Garry Kilworth books. If not, check out his bibliography. I'm sure this would keep you going for a while.

I'm reading his book of short stories - In The Country Of Tattooed Men.

About to run out to get The Thousandfold Thought (Price of Nothing book 3)-R. Scott Bakker. Even though the very end of The Warrior Prophet seemed rushed, weird and choppy I'm still totally hooked! 8)

Hey, even if it's no good it's still insanely cool to have a book with that title on your shelf... :P :P :P :biggrin:

Just got The Year of the Flood (Margaret Atwood). It's the sequel to Oryx and Crake, which is one of my favorite books. Same world, different characters. Dystopian world-building with a disturbing amount of 'hey, that could actually happen' scenarios.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Yay! I actually liked the new one better than I liked Oryx and Crake, I think. You'll meet some familiar characters in this one. ;)

Not on a new book yet, but chiming in to say that Nova is the type of book I like, i.e. a current story interwoven with a strong backstory of the main character. So you really get to feel the character develop and get to where he is now. I prefer this over books with loads of characters. That's also why I loved the whole part about Judah in Iron Council, and the mass scenes in the city...not so much.

I must say that the first couple of times I read it, it wasn't one of my favourites. This time round I enjoyed it a lot more for some reason.

I've skipped back in time quickly to read Wyrd Sisters, since I just read all the other witches books. :lol:
