How about any made for TV movie that is on the Sci-Fi network. Hell, they should have the guys from MST3K rip on each one of them the week after they show.

Hey, I likeBig Trouble In Little China. But it's badly written, badly acted, and just silly.

For my money, the best example of this kind of movie is Billy Jack. The acting is well beyond terrible. Especially Delores Taylor (Jean). To call it "acting" is as big an insult to the trade as I can imagine. It is the stuff of legend!

And then there's the dialog and plot. Well, all the words in the manuscript. Never has there been such a collection of cliche and nausea.

But God help me, I love the movie!!!!

Big Trouble in Little China is one of my favorite movies. Something that is sometimes missed with this film and others like it (Army of Darkness comes to mind) is that the film isn't accidentally goofy, strange and off beat. It is exactly what it set out to be. Everything is exaggerated because it wouldn't be any fun if it weren't. Some might mistake it as a bad movie because they think the film is actually taking itself seriously. IMHO of course.

Does this look like a serious film?

I usually, eventually, come around these types of threads and crap on Boxing Helena. Too bad as I love Julian Sands in the Warlock films...

I enjoyed Boxing Helena (if you can "enjoy" that movie) more than the Warlock films, but I must say that I liked Julian Sands most in the movie Gothic.

I didn't get the movie at all (BH) just thought it was really weird tripe. I dug the "Armageddon" Warlock film-never seen Gothic, will look into it.

The Happening.

I love M Night. I even liked Lady in the Water. But each and every one of his movies is worse than the last, and his latest is an all time low.

Horrible acting, writing and directing all conspire to ruin an intriguing premise

Gothic is a weird little freak out flick about some night Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, and Bram Stoker. Supposedly this night was the inspiration for all their great works. It's kinda dumb, but some fun and there is a bit of nudity, if I remember right.
