Here is my artist's rendering of the scene when Covenant had been wrestling with the ur-vile under Mt. Thunder. This depicts TC after both fall over the edge of the ledge and he's laying with the wind knocked out of him.
This is awesome! An exact rendering of the author's description of the scene. I can almost imagine Covenant lying there, waving a hand in front of his face and saying "Nope, can't see anything."

For some reason (maybe my security settings?) I only get a black-out instead of a picture.

Rus,

More likely a language issue. The caption describes a scene in which someone is in a cave, along with a black creature. There is no light. Therefore, there is nothing to see except blackness.

An equivalent picture would be a plain white square, with the caption "Ghost eating marshmallows in a snow storm."

You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

No - just "me-duh". I'm not Russian; I'm an old-fashioned mutt-American, although sometimes I get taken for a Russian.
That was just me being v e r y s l o w.
