No further word? Haven't seen any more updates on FB. Altho I'm sure Julie has her hands full (hope Sarge isn't being a big baby

i am home!

surgery was a success, recover room was not. surgery took two hours, but i was in more pain than i have ever been when i woke up.

i asked the nurse after the surgery if i could please change my mind. lol.

the morphine and oxygen combined to give me a hell of a headache.

tried crutches, almost fell - so they gave me a walker instead. at home started a book already. (memory's keeper's daughter)

managed to hop to the computer - rolling walker and i hop. lol - need prayers i don't fall.

the drainage tube was taken out before i left the hospital.

no cleaning the foot for two weeks - i am not looking forward to when the open the cast. if they do it in two weeks - will see what the doctors say.

Am I allowed to pray that you'll be wiser and not hop?
Or would that be considered 'pretending to pray' for the sake of an audience rather than honestly talking to God?

Glad the Surgery went well, hope the recovery speeds by for you.

Careful about posting on your prescriptions, though, you wouldn't want to be embarrassed when you come down

sin - the drugs are not very effective for cruising whilst stoned. the pain is such that i take the meds when it get sreally bad and fall asleep.

linna - i have to hop with the walker. i have to keep left leg from bearing any weight whatsoever.

effy - ty for noticing! and for keep mallorys going.

took a shower today. sitting, leg wrapped in two trash bags. but scary having to move onto chair in tub. panicked/terrified about falling. not looking forward to next shower. may continue with the whore's bath.

Sarge, I have a friend who had a pin put in her toe (bunion surgery) -- I think they gave her a little wheeled cart she could kneel on. Maybe you could talk them into giving you one of those eventually.

(You'll note I didn't even mention the "whore's bath"...

)

On the Recreational side...bummer. But, on the Intense pain side, that's really good news that it puts you to sleep, despite the pain, rather than simply dulling it so you can put yourself to sleep.

Ananda - i honestly thought whore's bath was a common term?

sin - have to double the dose to fall asleep. if i could finf my other meds i would be using those as well. but julie doesn't like me mixing meds.

jenn - i wouldn't mind getting whacked right about now.

ali - we looked for a chair. we need to find a medical supply store.

tonight was horrible. woke up in intense pain, crying like some child. claustrophobia got the best of me. so i am sitting in my office, leg propped listening to Primal Scream while on the boards. the meds are a depressant as well...
