So you really liked Magnolia, is what you're saying?

Reminds me of the funny quote, "But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?"
At least no one spontaneously, sadistically burst into awful singing in the middle of the play...or did they? "We're so sorry, Mrs. Lincoln. We had no idea that our cheery singalong would set off a psychopath amongst the patrons."

The incredibly obnoxious Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds, what with her and the mindless Cruise I was really rooting for the Martians.

Not movies, but Elisha Cuthbert's character in the early 24 was also throroughly wanting of a Darwin award, however she has bloomed and I am less inclined to push the Dalek's Exterminate button.

Ali Carter as Niki/Jessica/Tracy in the TV show, Heroes. She had to be screwing someone to get that part. It's literally as if everything about her storyline was shoved into the script afterward and patched up.

Also, Kate Capshaw in Temple of Doom

She makes being a chick look bad. Honestly.

Who notably was screwing the director.

I often forget, because I read the book before seeing the movie, that the movie didn't play out as clever as the book. Well, certainly in comparison to the attempt to turn Luke, it was. Then again, to my memory I never read the book of Return of the Jedi (or The Phantom Menace, for that matter). But AOTC and ROTS were considerably better books than movies, which is sad to say. Because I certainly wouldn't say that about ANH or ESB.

I felt that Kate Capshaw and the kid who played Short Round were both annoying. But Capshaw much more so.

I agree that ROTS the book was for the most part superior to the movie. (Still haven't read AOTC or Phantom Menace.)

Absolutely agreed. Bill Paxton as Hudson in Aliens was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread title.

(I DID like Frailty and hes funny as hell in True Lies though. And, I will never ever ever say a bad thing about Apollo 13)
