YAY !!!! I managed to see the clip finally and it's great - sent shivers down my spine for the most part

(my dial up suffered though)
And yes, I think it really is an honour to be selected as SRD's official discussion forum (much thanks to Mr Donaldson and all those who promoted the cause). It's a tribute to the time and effort that every member has spent here at KW to make it THE PLACE TO BE !

That he may have read my posts doesn't worry me a whole lot. I'm just wondering if he might have decided to register and join in the conversation.

An interesting thought. I suppose if a karate thread pops up it might give him away.

Ack!! He'll ban from the message board.

Either that or he'll agree Lord Foul is a fitting name for me.

If I were him, Foul, I'd want to read some of your stories. (Since I already am me, and I do want to read some of your stories.)

I'll bet anything he hasn't. He seems to be
real busy.
BTW, nice signature, Fist. That's a great line from the SRD interview. Funny guy, he is.

Heh. Thanks. Of course, as you can see, it's changed already. I just finished the last
Neverness book, am thrilled beyond words, and had to use a quote from there.

I predict he will post here when the official site is finished. To think he has this official site and not even post a single message is too far fetched for me.
Donaldson! Post!!!!!

yes, but would he post under some alias? We probably wouldn't know it if he did post.

I printed out all those interviews when the site opened, and finally read them yesterday. Several were new to me.
I kept finding quotes that hit me so perfectly I wanted to turn them into sig quotes for my posts. But there are so many that if I included them all, every one of my posts would be a social menace.

"Stephen R. Donaldson, by a terrible miscarriage of justice, did not win the John W. Campbell Award in 1978 (no, dammit, I won't give it back), but his Thomas Covenant trilogy has earned him a permanent and prominent place in the landscape of modern fantasy. To the frustration of those of us who would like to take it easy and not have to worry about being good every time, he keeps on proving he deserves that place. "Mythological Beast" (F&SF, Jan) is the story of a man who makes a metamorphosis as exalted as Kafka's was demeaning. Disney to the contrary notwithstanding, disobedient boys don't turn into jackasses -- they turn into unicorns. Except for Peter S. Beagle, no one has ever made me care so much about unicorns; and only Donaldson has made me wish I could be one."
now thats what i'm talking 'bout!!
