The Official Stephen R. Donaldson Site is Now Open
~~On behalf of Stephen R. Donaldson, G. P. Putnam's Sons, Orion Publishing and the UMCP site design team I am more than proud to announce the GRAND OPENING of~~~The Official Stephen R. Donaldson Website!~~www.stephenrdonaldson.com/!!!!
Remember the site is just a baby, I must admit it sure looks sweet, but it will continue to grow and grow. Fantastic info on the author and some amazing interviews I guarantee you've never seen before. Did I mention it has an incredible message board too? I think it's called Kevin's Watch or something...
Please keep that cover art coming! We're still compiling it and SRD is in the process of sorting out copyright (so you probably won't see them for a couple of weeks, at least--to submit send to: johnf@eccker.org ). Use the above addy or link for now-I'm sure Vain will set up a "master link" on the index as soon as he finds out about all this!

fall far and well Pilots!
Grat work! Kudos to you Danlo and to all involved.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. John Stuart Mill

It's a little slow loading... I mean, almost all of it's up, but after three minutes (and counting) I still have a large black square in the middle of the page...
[Edit - okay, in the end it took at least 6 minutes for that little animated bit about the third chrons to load, on a 56.6K modem]

It has to be slow--it just barely linked to the net--it has 5 domains pointing towards it-- the more we visit the faster it will be! (We are working on the Flash Player to load quicker...)

Oh it's beautiful!!! And it's officially official now!! We are the official message board!!
I love it, just spent the last few minutes clicking all the pages. I love the Q and A
And this...just threw me for a loop...
"When the line between ally and enemy cannot be discerned, the truth can only be found in...
The Runes of the Earth"

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

OMG! It's just like when you go to the movies and see a really, really, really cool preview, but without the deep-voiced man.Ten years ago she healed the wounds of The Land.
Since then she's struggled to heal the wounds inflicted on her own world.
Linden Avery never thought she would see Thomas Covenant again.
But Despite cannot be killed...
...and Linden must return to The Land one last time.
"I have to do this."
"Lord Foul has my son."
When the line between ally and enemy cannot be discerned, the truth can only be found in...
The Runes of the Earth
*Tries to calm down and breathe deply. Fails.*
That is so kewl. *Gasp* How can I wait until it comes out? *Hack* What am I going to do until then? *Pant* I think I need to go and lie down.

Hi, Duchess, maybe your browser is missing the necessary plug-in to view the animation?
That preview is the kind of thing that...um...SETS SRD FANDOM ON FIRE!!!
Seriously, it is so excellent to see things fall into place rapidly like this!
Just spent the last couple of hours at the site poring over all the collected SRD interviews there...my head is spinning from the man's insights about his work and himself as a writer...should be URGENT reading for anyone who wants to understand SRD's views about the world a little better.
Mr. Brian Stableford's essay on SRD is also very insightful.
