He told that story at Bubonicon (not to mention Elohimfest), you know, as he was promoting the Website and the Gradual Interview in particular, the audience had a very good laugh!

The times and places for the book tour are no longer on the SRD website - what happened to them?

Where are the SRD essays on the site? I had read his one on the definition of fantasy but can't find it anymore. And he mentions another about books that had an influence on him but I can't find any essays on the site... ?

His poetry has a seperate link in the "From the Author" section. Everything else he has published should be in the Background / Publications section.

Scott Byers: Mr. Donaldson, I greatly enjoy reading all your books. I was very glad to hear that we will once again be able to return to the Land. I was wondering if you are planning any book tours to Canada soon?
The answers to all book tour questions are posted elsewhere on this site. A Canadian tour is exTREMEly unlikely: the audience isn't large enough to justify the publisher's expense (from the publisher's point of view, anyway).

Based on this, it would appear that SRD's audience lives only in the western US.

I agree - although Northern Virginia (can we say Centreville!) would be ok!!

SRD is not coming anywhere near DC, based on his current book tour information.

Believe me - if there's ever any word about a DC trip, I'll let you all know.
Creator - I just got back into town and read your email. My weekends are pretty busy until right before WFC. Do you want to get together for lunch sometime so I can collect the books you want signed? I'm in Potomac, MD, and work out of the house - so I'm pretty flexible as where and when. But, needless to say, I'd like to avoid rush hour.
Any other DC folk want me to take books out to WFC for him to sign?
WFC is Thursday, October 28th until Sunday, October 31st (in Tempe, AZ).

Yes, please, thank you, Romeo!

I'm hoping to have finished Runes before WFC starts, so I'd like to have SRD sign that.
I live in Alexandria and work in Foggy Bottom. Lunch would work. When are you leaving for the con?

I've suggested lunch on October 12th. I work at 20th & C NW in DC. I'm new so I don't know specific restaurants but I'm sure we can find one!! Maybe we can all get together - an Elohim-lunch!

I'm flexible.
Jay - would you be able to make a lunch some time in the Foggy Bottom area?
I leave early morning on Thursday, October 28th.

I can get to Foggy Bottom!! say early lunch 11:30am on the 12th if date works and easy for everyone to get to.

I could do Satuday 9th or 16th - could still do Foggy Bottom - I'd take the subway from Vienna - but I think Romeo has a problem with weekends.
Romeo? Ali? Jay?

I'm out of town (or otherwise occupied) all the weekends except the one just before WFC (23rd & 24th). We can put it off until then - that might give folks time to finish Runes so I can take that with me as well.

The 23rd or 24th would work for me. If we can pick a date/time then perhaps all five of us (you and me and ali and jay and caer) can get together. I would also be up for a "breakfast" fest at a local IHOP say at 8:00am if people would rather get together early so as not to break up the day. Let me know - it'll be great to have our own DC area get together!!!
