In Die Hard films, it's always about the money.
Yeah, it isn't the first film (or the third), but it's still damn good. No it's not as gritty as Rambo, but Die Hard films were never like that. All four movies have had ridiculous, over-the-top stunts (jumping off a building with a hose tied around his waist, surviving 10 guys shooting into an unarmored plane then ejecting out of it while on the ground, surviving the bridge-to-ship cable crawl), and this one wasn't that different (but the plane thing really pushed it. Gabriel was no Hans or Simon Gruber (or Col.Stuart for that matter). I'll grant you, the villain was weak.
But I'll take LFoDH over any other action movie made in the last 10 years (except Rambo0 without hesitation.
