So hows the weather?

I can't usually compete, since SF is usually lacking in weather, but when I left work yesterday it was bright and sunny, and a couple of hours later, thunderstorms. Same predicted for today. That doesn't happen here.

Yeah, our actual rainy season is still a couple of months off. We have had some rain this week (and also some heavy fog that people were calling rain because apparently it only takes a few dry months for them to forget what rain looks like) - not unheard of in September, but not typical either. I hope it bodes well for the upcoming season, but who knows. We had record rain last year after they predicted another year of drought.

We've had a few dry summers ourselves, and serious drought in some parts of the country. Hoping it will break this year, but...

I really shouldn't complain about the weather when you've had bloody hurricanes! But I will anyway

We've had a crappy start to Spring - windy and cold. We don't generally get much rain, but so far in September we've had 16mm (I know, it sounds pathetic really! But a bit almost every day so far rather than just one dump) and lots of wind which really bugs me.

I don't think that at all.

First of all I am part Native American so I didn't steal nuthin. And my other half is Irish and we haven't been in charge of anything and were treated like second class scum until the last 100 years or so so no one in my family tree had any say in the matter.

Second, Isn't that like a dog being angry because half the fleas on its back subjugated the other half? I don't think the dog understands or cares about the political and social conflicts of flea kind.

My theory would be that before the super-continent Pangaea began to separate, Florida was essentially contiguous with the western edge of what would eventually become the African continent.

My guess is that Africa once loved Florida but the separation became too painful to bear and Africa now occasionally lashes out in fits of frustration because of the loss of Florida, its beloved.

Doesn't that make gobs more sense?

Indeed.

Makes me wonder if a Hurricane hit Florida and no one was here to see it would it make a sound? There must have been a time when humans or humanoids didn't inhabit the Florida peninsula. Then it makes me wonder since they seem to feed off of warm ocean water if it was even possible for a hurricane to develop when the world was in the grip of the last Ice Age. Hmmmmm...

Looks like the weather is beginning to look almost normal. The temporary reduction of summer in Florida has begun. High Temps in my area are now projected in the upper 80s instead of 90 million or whatever.

The last two days were cold and rainy - a surprise appearance of fall - which made the indoors more cozy.

This morning has dawned bright and beautiful: the sunshine after the rain.
