Awards are a very weird thing for me. It has to do with an acceptance speech at the Oscars not a personal experience. But, at its heart, an award is a formal declaration of a group of people telling you they liked what you did, for which I am always grateful.

Wow! I won....I won, I won!!! <does happy dance>

Thanks Syl and everyone else. This was a nice little honor and a lot of fun. And to think, I just type all that stuff in the tank because I think it's fun!

P.S
Where was the voting done?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Hey! I won something! :D How cool is that? heh

Of course, it would not have been possible were it not for the benevolence of my Empress, Cho Chiyo.

Best SRD inspired name eh?Thanks for awarding me for something that just popped into my head, perhaps I should bypass the filter from now and just post whatever thoughts pop into my head-alas though, that would most likely get me banned.(My second choice was Steven R Donaldson).

Wow, that's a tough one. Off the top of my head... Let's see... Oh, I don't know, maybe anyone who started a thread for John Lennon on the anniversary of his death? Or anything else. 6 to 1.

4. Best Post in a Thomas Covenant Related Forum (Thomas Covenant, Runes of the Earth, Thomas Covenant Movie)
DLB
(runner up: Danlo)

7. Best Thread in a Stephen Donaldson Related Forum (The Gap Series, Mordant's Need, Reed Stephens and Other Works, General SRD)
DLB for the Gradual Interview
WOW.

I can honestly say that I never expected this. Like Wayfriend I would like to know what post was nominated. I know that I can certainly think of so many Watchers who are more worthy to win this (Wayfriend, Xar come immediately to mind, with so many others as well.)

As to the Gradual Interview thread - well, this makes me feel very proud, as that thread as been my baby since SRD's website was created.

So, thank you all, and thanks to Syl for his hard work in putting this together. Congratulations to all winners!

Danlo; I really wanted Glimmermere, but as I have no real estate, I would be interested in your Rivenrock...
