YAY!!! esmer's school started!!! busy busy busy bub!!

good luck, break a leg and all that!!

i feel...weird. i spent the last three days almost exclusively in Azeroth.
i wanted to shoot arrows and sick my combat cat at all the buttheads
on the street today walking to work.
the buses look like they should be worth serious exp to me.
the tenderloin looks like Duskwood or Corin's Crossing.
i was looking for an FP (flight point) to take me to work.
i musta circled my own block 3 times thinking "i know there's an FP around here somewhere!" :?
when i got down to market street i looked around for a Horde fire festival
bonfire to desecrate.
i wondered if the Moscone Center is a dungeon and if i could solo it.
i wondered how much health the asiago bagels that i love at starbucks
will give me and if a triple shot vente capuccino will boost my mana.
and finally, when i got to work, i wondered why there are no bathrooms
in Azeroth. then i remembered the outhouse in Andorhal!

Good luck with school, Esmer.

I have a cold and am grumpy. Wish it would stop raining here (not that I really want it to as the drought in Oz is pretty bad so we need all the rain we can get).

Saturday was a long, dark tea-time of the soul kinda day. But today is better. Still too damn hot here, though. I nearly burned my hand on the seatbelt when I got in my car this afternoon.

I've been kicking around story ideas today, but am not certain how to proceed. Meh. :?

Well...I dunno what it is about today but I've gradually drifted into this melancholy that I can't get out of.

...perhaps it's the rain...
...perhaps it's the distance...
...perhaps because I got no word...
...perhaps coz I heard your voice, Louise...
...perhaps
...perhaps
...perhaps

Best. Post. Ever.

I'm not even going to rant about my hellish day at work.

Don't feel guilty - I didn't have what they wanted.

Yeah, I must find a new job. (One where I can say 'yeah' without getting yelled at for 'sounding like a hick').

Bad day. Said I wasn't going to rant. Not going to rant.

Let me know if you find that FP.

Suddenly my head is a-swirl with visions of tidal waves, berserk gravitational pulls, swamps with small people in them, black holes on swordtips, but also Gemmell's and Jordan's unfinished work. I think I'm gonna jog my daily 8km :D

It's hot in San Francisco. It's barely morning and my office is already 73 degrees. I feel pretty good today. Life has gifted me with some pretty amazing things and even if they aren't simple and easy they are still worth having and working for. Life would be boring if it weren't complicated.

Sounds like a professional operation you work at, Sorus. Not.

Good luck on getting out of there.

Wow, Sorus. . . that sounds awful. :( Hope you find something soon!

And I have a really great idea for a story, but don't know if I will have the motivation to actually write it. :?

If you write it and let me read it, I will give you 200 WGDs, or more if I have them. Is that enough motivation to start it?

I think I have officially hit rock bottom. I can't even apply at Starbucks because I don't have three professional references.

I've got 25000 hours behind me as a certified trainer, 4 years teaching, and 11 years as a tech-sales-support manager, but now I can't realistically apply for any job that suits my skills because I'm not EU-certified, don't hold an up-to-date degree and the average market offer is 600 EUR (something like 450 USD) per month. So I set up my own tutoring/training nano-business. It earns me zero from July to September, and enough to cover the bills throughout the rest of the year.

On my last corporate job we were stolidly admonished for talking about movies, music and other non-financial matters.

If it were real money, maybe. :P I just need to get started on it. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though. :D

And Sorus, if you ever volunteered for anything, sometimes you can use those as professional references. Good luck! |G

SoS is crook.

I've just woken from some really trippy nightmare that I can't remember the content of...but...it's left me feeling totally rattled.

And I so need a life! ...although I'd have to swim to it today. When is it going to stop raining?
