This morning I'm panicky. In 2 hours time I'll be at the dentist, getting a wisdom tooth pulled. Don't normally mind the dentist, but i've seen too many poor bastards with faces swollen to twice their normal size come into the pharmacy, to be calm about this trip. :cross: not me please!

Absolutely. It sucked, but I kind of enjoyed the after parts of it. I pretty much slept the entire time, as the drugs I was given knocked my ass down. I remember really enjoying the sheets...
But I'd wake up for about an hour, my head all swimmy, and I'd eat some pudding, take some pills, refresh my ice packs and play videogames until my eyes would not stay open any more. It took about an hour. Then I'd pass out again for the next 23 hours. Ahh, if only life were that way. Without the ice packs though. Yeah, I'd be a lotus eater.

I do remember after weaning myself off the drugs my face hurt pretty good for a day or so. But it didn't last very long.

Good luck with the wisdome teeth, Stonemaybe.

I feel fantastic. I just finished my history class, where I had to give a presentation. I hate public speaking, and I hate being the first person in the class to present, so I was very nervous all week. When I finished my presentation (in exactly the allotted time, I might add), the prof said that everyone else who presents should use me as a model for their presentations. He mentioned such things as good eye contact, good volume, and good speaking speed, all things that I have difficulty with when I am giving presentations. And I took a risk and presented without using powerpoint, which turned out really well. At the end the prof summarized everything (he's basing some of the final off of the presentations), and had said before that he would add things if we missed anything important, and everything he said in the summary was in my presentation. So I feel proud of myself for doing so well at something that I usually do poorly.

How much did he give you Sarge? 8O :P ;)

It's Friday! Whoo Hoody! I am ready for my weekend. I'm going to try to get all the rest of my stuff out of storage and put my refridgerator on Craigslist on Saturday. That will save me monthly storage fees and maybe I can have some pocket cash if I sell the dang thing.

I had them put me under. No way was I gonna be aware of people yanking my teeth out. The doc told me there was a small chance I wouldn't wake up. That didn't bother me at all, for some reason. Anyway, I had hiccups the next day, for the whole day.

Have a good trip, Av!

Congrats on a fantabulous presentation, Auleliel!

Sarge -- wow, the fun at work never stops...

Stone, good luck with the extraction. Magickmaker had all four of hers out at once before she went off to college. She basically slept for about a week.

Today's my last day at work before vacation -- whoo hoodey!

Ta-daaaaa! I survived.

Functioning on 75% wisdom, which will fall to 50% in 2 weeks. Worst bit was the local anaesthetic - I HATE that numb feeling and get paranoid I'm drooling. But I slept when I got home and that had worn off when I woke. So far, preventative painkillers are coping admirably (touchwoodtouchwoodtouchwoodtouchwood).

I want to go to Dublin! Good luck Cleburne. I'm not especially religious, but I'll put in a good word with the Great Pumpkin if he rises from the pumpkin patch tonight.

[whinge]

So I've spent flippin 4 1/2 hours fixing my laptop! For a while there I thought it was dire (as I haven't backed up for about 9 months...me bad...and since I couldn't get past DOS screens and nothing I did was fixing this stupid missing system 32 file problem, I was thinking BYE BYE all my important files and photos and stuff). Anyway...fixed now (good thing I can blunder my way around and work out how to fix these things....even if I did fork out about $75 to get a program to fix it...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr).

Anyway....yeah...brilliant....!!! :P
