I was doing a search for SRD about 2-3 years ago when I came upon the original website for Kevin's Watch (Before the upgrades and changes).
I was the one who, then, posted a message about a new Donaldson book that was seen on the bookshelves back in Febuary, about 2 years ago. (Sorry, I don't recall the title... SHAME ON ME!)

Hi, cheval, and welcome. That would have been THE MAN WHO FOUGHT ALONE, the fourth in his mystery series. You can find talk about it in the Reed Stephens forum.

If you've been looking around, you can see that -- there's plenty left to see. Walk around, smell the flowers, have a word with the inhabitants. :)

Someone linked to it at the Gone Gold forums in a '3rd Chron' announcement thread.

Nice place. Love the books. Think I'll stay around. ;)

-Randy (totally excited about returning to The Land...will re-read the first 6 soon)

I found the link on the LAND homepage, which I probalby found via google search.

Years ago there used to be NO SRD page whatsoever, and I was pleasantly surprised to find ONE page and ONE board dedicated to that author.

Well, there probably can be only ONE... :?

Ur-vile, is that Colin Firth on your picture?

Showing my stupidity...

Okay, I just introduced myself the other day and now I'm going to show my stupidity by asking what TCTC means. Thomas Covenant The Unbeliver would be TCTU I know its probably right in front of my face but I can't get it. The other one I see alot and can't figure out from its usage is heh.
Thanks!
Oh, by the way, in response to someones comment about finding a woman who will talk Thomas Covenant stuff, it is rare indeed. I turned my best friend (who is 21 years older than me) onto TC years ago and now she's as much of a fan as I am! Plus I just started a new job and work with two women who are scifi/fantasy fans (a rare breed) and neither one of them have read TC. So guess what I'm buying off eBay from my next paycheck! LOL
By the way, I mean no slight to the women out there that love TC and SciFi/Fantasy in generaly by my comments, its just been my experience that there aren't that many women out there that love this stuff. But I'm always glad when I find one, even though I'm gay. :)
Take care all,
Matthew

TCTC = The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant

I think "heh" is a replacement for LOL but I'm not always sure about that

Yeah, the TCTC bit can kind of throw you off. Just saw it so often I got used to it. Technically, it should be something like tCoTCtU, CTCU, or just CTC. I guess that's why I usually go with the Chrons.

And I am an abuser of the word heh. It's not exactly a replacement for LOL (I'm not a big fan of LOL, personally... though when something does actually make me laugh out loud, I make it a point to say so). More of a cross between a hmmm and a ha (not the band).

I abuse 'heh' also. I use it as I always thought it meant - just a chuckle sort of, as in heh, heh, heh. :)

Heh. LOL! ;)

Are we really that rare guys? 8O I can't imagine not living and breathing Tolkien, Donaldson, The Tower.....

I've always had trouble finding anyonewho'd talk TC. ;)

But all those millions of people out there who don't.....I can't fathom what in the world does turn them on. Maybe it makes me a loser or something, but many (not all of course ;) ) of the most intense emotions I've ever felt have been over fantasy books.....

The Sound of Horns.....the Coming of the White.....

I don't care what the normals think....there is no greater high for me.

And I wouldn't want such a depthless, boring existence as I can't help but think anyone who has never seen the unfurling of the banner of Elendil as the foremost ship rounds the Harlond must lead....

(How's that for convoluted, and probably incorrect sentence structure? ;))

Has Variol-Son met you yet FaTeke? He'll be thrilled! :D :D

Welcome!!! :D :D ;)

I think that's about right. "Heh" is the sound of me going "heh" ;) Like a dry chuckle, but very short :)

I think the only real question here is who is the "heh" champion? Is it me? Is it Darth Revan? or is it Jay? Now You might not think me straight away, but if you talk to me on MSN you may just be inclined to change your mind.

Jay does pretty well, with ending every single post with a "heh", but Hierachy is the Zen Heh Master on msn

Thanks everyone, I can't believe I couldn't figure out the TCTC! But I knew when I typed it that it was going to be something simple. I always refer to the books as the Thomas Covenant series

And heh, well I guess I had figured that one out too, I just didn't know it, but that's how I always read it. I just kept remember my newbie days (to the internet as a whole) and reading LOL and seeing : followed by ) and wondering what the heck was going on! LOL ;)

If anyone is interested I'd like to invite you to check out my personal website at fateke.20m.com Its not spectacular by any means but I do have several of my short stories there that you can read as well as some really depressing poetry! LOL

Of course there's also the obligatory tribute to Stephen in my Fav. Books section.

I'm enjoying this list a lot, thanks everyone!

About 8 years ago I took an incredible trip to Greece, Turkey, Israel and Egypt. It was the best 3 weeks of my life and I still think about all the extraordinary things I saw and did. Thanks for checking out my website, those links that don't work are empty for now, I just haven't had the time nor the motivation to go back and finish them.
and is faTeke .. maori? or polynesian?? if not what does it mean .. its very interesting :)
FaTeke is a word I made up. I have this idea for a trilogy of novels based in the fictional world of FaTeke. Since I created the word I figured it would work well on the internet as a username and sure enough nowhere have I gone where I couldn't get my first choice! LOL

Take care,
Matthew
