$1.92 back in Pasadena today. Traffic has gotten noticeably heavier on the DC beltway the last two weeks or so.

geezuz!,,we're still around 2.17 mark for 89...I can't wait for the excuse making,,but traffic in the early morning seems to definitely slowed down and thinned out a bit.I lol at all the big SUV's and big pik ups doing 55 or slower.. I am noticing alot less " lawn care" and small, " home repair" type contractors on the road in the a.m. and p.m. tho. Many more motorcyclists on the road too.

I think I saw $1.74 at the Costco this morning. Plus-grade has been under two bucks a gallon for about a week; I've been waiting on premium to get there, too. I don't burn premium, or plus -- I just want to see ones in *all* the dollar places.

There is a station nearby that changes prices at least two or three times a day.
Yesterday, it was $1.83 p/gallon, coming home from work in the afternoon the price was $1.87, and then doing out for dinner the price changed again to $1.84 p/gallon.
This morning, the price is again $1.83.

Used to be that a station could not change the price until a new shipment was delivered. Also, it is against the law here to be priced more than 20 cents (IIRC) LESS than the stations around the same area. In other words, you cannot underprice the rival stations by more than that amount.
Ain't that a crock of dookie!

Where I live they're only allowed to change the price once per day.

I paid $1.69 at the Costco this morning. And premium is now under two bucks a gallon. And to think, less than two months ago, we were shelling out close to four bucks a gallon for the same stuff. Gotta love those petroleum speculators....

CNN reports that oil spiked up to $54 per barrel today. Let's see if gas prices start to come back up now.

USA national average is less than a dollar than what we paid last year.
But still about a dollar more than what we paid 2 years ago.
(According to World News Tonight)

I only stated what WNT reported. I find that hard to believe also.
Haven't seen gas for around for a dollar for 4 or 5 years.

I think prices in town looked a few cents higher than yesterday, but that could be due to the holiday approaching as well. :?
