hahahaha
times is the difficulty .. as I'm away from home atm I will pop in throughout the day during down times. So for me thats any time between 7am and 11pm my time.
I was on the other day at 2pm and Av was here and it was 4am his time, I noticed when he was in the Chatbane. We live in different time zones, so if there were a "best range" or "preferred range" we could pop by during that time to see if anyone else is here.
Where I'm staying atm I have horses to agist every morning and dogs to feed and walk. That takes me about 2-2.5hrs .. The German Shorthaired Pointers, are show dogs and they have a lot of wriggles to get out as they're bigger dogs and there's two little scruffies (Scotch terriers) that are just happy hahahaha
Then we go out again in the afternoon before dinner time, and I check the horses and give them dinner. So I pop in between chores mostly unless I have to go into town for supplies - as I'm on a remote property. I do have to go into town about 5pm today (my time) for stock feed. Other than that I'm a free agent
As you guys are located all over the US you all have different time zones dont you? And Av is in SA - I notice he pops in at an ungodly hour his time (4am). And then there's Pete he's in the UK .. How do we sort a time that is good or ok for everyone?
I'll Google general time zones

So Chatbane has me logged in at 8.30am now ... lol .. well its probably 8.30am somewhere in Australia lol ..
so we just need to add the number of hours from an agreed hour .. when we think we can pop by.
That sounds easy enough

It's a logistical nightmare! and I can see us getting there and then standing around awkwardly in corners like kids at a first dance!

President of Peace? You fucking idiots!
....and the glory of the world becomes less than it was....
'Have we not served you well'
'Of course - you know you have.'
'Then let it end.'

I'll look in there at 4.30am tomorrow [Saturday]. It'd be a Watch first for me to find anyone in there!

Cool idea, guys!
I love this... I love realtime internet conversation.
When we had that Anniversary-of-the-Watch celebration day last year...
...I got to talk with StevieG and Shuram Gudatetris on Chatbane!
It was a different dynamic, and cool.

Yesss... we will see how to get it to work...Skyweir wrote:Awesome LinnaLets do this thing ..
Though I will say its not the best platform for meet and greets .. its a little clunky .. but if theres not to much lag we might get a meet greet going
and if nothing else, we can see what the last person on it said... I came on chatbane just awhile after "telephone book" time.

hahahahahaha .. yep that was just me shooting the breeze with me
It was really great chatting with you Linna!! Definitely do it again and hopefully hook up with more Watchers. Cordy was great chatting to you too!!
I saw Pete flit in and flit back out .. but didn't get to say howdy pard'ner
as he was too quick off the mark.
I stay logged on but as I have to do stuff - I leave and return when stuff gets done
I take a peek throughout the time I'm logged on just to see if there has been any action

Mostly there is not a lot going on
.. so I amuse myself talking to one of the most entertaining person I know
cos like what else am I supposed to do ..

Skyweir and I have had some good success with this chat program (Chatbane) over the weekend.
It -is- laggy, but there's still good spontaneity to the conversations!
We would like to suggest this time for Watcher Chat:
Monday, 21:30-22:30 GMT
One thing I learned about organizing times for people to get together* is that it's hard to get a perfect time for everybody.
So just consider this another trial run - but I will be there!
* I once was told that a group of friends + me "couldn't organize ourselves out of a paper bag"! That wasn't very flattering!
I like to think I got better since then.

I -definitely- was thinking the correct thing about which day it was all along... (whichever day that was!)
...as evidenced by the fact that post noting it was made -only- about 8 hours after the other one... *nods to herself*
...
..
umm, okay, I admit I only thought of it when I woke up in the morning!
