Well, if one is going to invent a place... hang on, it's real, dammit! If you believe it's real, then it's real - it's real to me and that's all that matters.

IIRC, This supposed place called Australia has a supposed time zone that is Greenwich time plus eight and three quarters hours. And that's not even counting daylight savings time! It's like a Hogwarts Express Time Zone. No such place can really exist.

Nobody told me the clocks were going forward this weekend and I only found out just as I was about to enjoy a slice of toast and a morning cuppa in front of the computer. I was a half-hour late into the office. Fortunately, no one took any notice.

Now, on the subject of being treated like The Invisible Man ...

since I didn't know the number for the Hogwarts platform and had to look it up, I'm guessing sarge thought it was nineteen-and-three-quarters.
(I thought it was 15.)
....instead of 9-and-3/4.

This is partly me testing to see how well I've got sarge's thinking figured out...

We all know the old adage, "Time is money". Well, it's true, and the government is getting rich off stealing our money. They confiscate our hour, hold it for over seven months (no doubt accruing interest), and then they finally give it back, without interest. It might not seem like much, but after 48 years, skimming interest off of 300 million unsuspecting citizens....

In my opinion, it should be called Daylight Stealing Time.
