Danlo, your raincoat is green and glowing. If that doesn't spell gamma radiation, I don't know what does. Ben Grimm died screaming, not laughing. Gamma poisoning does that to people.

So you're saying everytime danlo gets mad he turns big and green and hurls tanks? Dear god, that terrifies me!

If that were true, He'd always be big and green.

Why is that, Rev? I didn't think you read any comics at all.
Back to the subject. I'm pretty impressed with the new X-men title. I recently read Astonishing X-men #1 and I'm very encouraged. I plan to subscribe and see where this new direction goes. So far so good.

What is the deal? I ahve been disgusted w/ omics for so long I haven't picked one up for years. What makes Astonishing X-Men good? Why should I pick it up?

The writer/artist team is very good. The art is suprisingly adept and the writer has a style that I seem to find appealing. I'm a little lost since I am not up on current events as far as the X-men are concerned but I was suprised and impressed with the first issue.

Good comics: Sandman, Batman, Judge Dredd (early dredd).

John Cassady is the artist for Astonishing X-men. He has also done the first few of the latest Captain America run, and he does Planetary. Combined with the newer, more photographic colouring, it is terribly impressive. Quite simply put, he's the best artist currently drawing comic books.

Thanks all. I'll check out Cassady and the x men

I'd like to see and read your work, Ur-Vile.
Will scan something for you, Tom. I have a graphic novel around here somewhere.

I have some of the Flaming Carrot. I love Bob Burden's stuff. I have Starman, Sandman Mystery Theater, Suicide Squad, Automatic Kafka, some Ditko stuff. I would like all of the Ditko stuff.

Yeah, because it's terrible. I looked at it again - worst story and characters ever.
