Well....

.. I have offered a way out and got zilch in return. The apparent endoresement of The Chain Mail Letter is wearing thin on me.

Ever the creative kinda guy that I am ,,i will not give up on hope. Since this whole situation is being presented as an item between me and caam..here is what i propose..For all the observant,,notice that Caamora lists Tempe as place of dwelling. I propose to meet with Caamora, in person, and apologize to her personally. I cross thru Tempe every work day and sometimes on the weekends. I offer an apology to Caamora,,over a lunch..or diner, or just an expresso,,whatever she desires..it will be on me. I am an older gent so Caam may pass me off as an Uncle, a friend of whomever,,to spare any akwardness. Its the apology that matters to most and there is my offer.

Arrangements can be made easily thru this sites mail. ....MEL

That is a great and noble solution lurch.

Edge I cannot accept His truth because God is not a Him (or a Her). :P

Yeah, excellent idea, Lurch. Bravo!

With all due respect, you've got to be kidding me.

Why would Caam want to meet with someone so obnoxious? Be a man, apologize and drop it.

Cail,

You're kidding me right? He's going to apologize. In person. Telling lurch he's "obnoxious" and to "be a man" is a personal attack, kind of like "arse whipe"? Sound familiar?

Answer the question LM, why would she want to meet with someone who clearly has been obnoxious, and is apparently above apologizing on the same forum he called her an "arse whipe"?

No personal attack there my man, just stating facts.

Cail,

I don't know if she would or not. I'm not speaking for her. But I would think she would appreciate the sentiment, at least.

And...not to quibble, but calling someone "obnoxious" is a subjective opinion and therefore not a fact. ;) :P

It is a fact that Caam was upset by his posts, and therefore found them "obnoxious".

Ahhh, my bad. Sorry dude, but count me in with Edge and Caam. I was really insulted by the way this thread turned.

Heh. It's all good. And yeah, for what it's worth...I also think this is all a huge mess.

MESS?

,,,no, no, not a mess...This thread, Lord Mor,,is an excellent work of Art.It reflects the Human Condition well. It reflects the Donaldson paradox, the donaldson trap,, and how to deal with it . It appears that the workof Art is still in progress, so I'll get out and enjoy the 2nd chrons of it..or maybe add some brush strokes of my own,,oh well...MEL

crap--just when I thought we could come to a conclusion...Maybe I should have said proposal instead of solution then I wouldn't have to resort to calling Cail names  (more crap--lurch posted over me--leave Donaldson out of it-he's beyond this petty squabbling)

Oh Danlo

,,Danlo..how soon we forget,,,above this petty squabbling...?? You have already forgotten the insults traded constently between Stave and the Ramen?...Perhaps with this thread..we are gaining an insight to this new character you have mentioned..

"Neverness" - I'd read that damn book if any bookstore in Massachusetts carried it!

No - here's the deal: once I've read it a second time, I'll start a thread titled either 'Why Neverness Rocks!', 'Why Neverness' Sucks!', or 'Neverness: Meh... Whatever'.

And if that doesn't appeal to you: I'll promise never to mention Neverness again, and just let it go. Your call. :)
