I personally abhor using Traci Lords in this way, because it'll probably destroy THOOLAH.
OMFG - that's hilarious dAN!!! And here I was casting Josh as Hile Troy!! :haha:

What about Kyra Sedgwick as Linden? She's a little old now but I could see her as the Runes Linden

Maybe Kirsten Dunst as Elena?

Elena needs an actress who can convey strength, passion for the land and the ranhym, leadership, love of TC yet also gradually and subtly reveal the insanity. Furthermore, she has to, at first, appear attractive to Covenant, a brilliant novelist in his 40s, then be revealed to be his daughter.

All of that requires a GREAT actress.

In terms of looks, she clearly has to be beautiful, but that means an infinite amount of things. As she's also part stonedowner, I agree it would be better seeing her as an actress who's also suggesting some physical sturdiness. She's 40 at the time of The Ilearth War, isn't she?

We need someone who is beautiful, but strong, mature and radiates good health. /Earthpower, anorexic young actresses just don't fit the bill.

Award-winning English actress Lucy Cohu is my nominee:

Whaaaaat?
Meh actress, and funny looking. OTOH:

"Mariska's mom has got it going on..."

at least before she was dead, she did.

Anyway...the woman who leads the visitors on the new "V" is showing a lot of range/subtlety/dynamics as an actor...is roughly the right age for Elena...but I'd have to see her with different hair/make-up, cuz I'm bad at morphing appearances in my head.

Um, people. Elena may be my least fave character, but come on! How has no one thought of this! You've said every other Cate/Kate on the planet!

Cate Blanchett.

She was an Elven queen. She was Queen of Britain. AND Maiden Marion, which in the Robin Hood myth is pretty much Queen. And she's a good actor. Come on, people! Why not add High Lord of the Council of Lords to the mix!?

As for Linden, I could not say, for I have not met her in the books yet. Soon, hopefully. But I still have two chapters and a whole book to go!

Lena, hard to say.

Man. Still can't believe that in four pages, Queen Cate didn't come up!
As Covenant would say; "Hellfire and Damnation!"
Or as Saltheart would say; "Stone and Sea!"
"Branches spread and tree trunks grow
Through rain and heat and snow and cold:
Though wide world's winds untimely blow,
And earthquakes rock and cliff unseal,

My leaves grow green and seedlings bloom
Since days before the Earth was old
And Time began its walk to doom,
The Forests world's bare rock anneal,

Forbidding dusty waste and death
I am the Land's Creator's hold:
I inhale all expiring breath,
And breath out life to bind and heal.

But ax and fire leave me dead.
I know the hate of hands grown bold.
Depart to save your heart-sap's red:
My hate knows neither rest nor weal."

Infelice?

I'd love your opinions on Infelice. Blonde or Brunette?

Blonde.

First instinct, no idea why, Cameron Diaz 8O

Other questionably-saner instincts:

Kristin Chenoweth, Michelle Pfeiffer, Charlize Theron.

Ok, you can open fire now....

Well if the Chronicles ever make it to the big screen, there's gonna be some special effects required. I don't see why they can't be employed in the arts of mammary expansion! But seriously, the suggestions above were all for Infelice:

Sorry, posted too quickly, too much talk about Elena above. Chenowitz is an interesting choice for Infelice somewhat similar to Theiron (but bigger boobies, LOL).

Hmmm... Fly-casting is for catching fish.

What are you planning on catching with Breast-Casting?

Yea, Phiffer could be fantastic as Infelice

I think in many Hollywood films, they just call that casting.
