That sounds good, Vraith.
Was it a standard lightly carbonated hard cider that was heated? Or are there non-carbonated hard ciders available for heating up?

For anyone not tried it yet, worth sampling a bottle of Pear Kopparberg! The best pear cider I've had, Swedish 4.5% great summertime drink. Even available in Scrag Holes that still sport Spittoons and sawdust - my local in other words!

Available in most bars in UK.

Kopparberg is too sweet for me.
I do have a recipe somewhere on my home PC for a mulled cider, Vraith, but won't be home for a couple of weeks yet. iirc, go to
www.bbc.co.uk/food , find the search function, and put in 'mulled cider'. remember that any cider mentioned will be what you USians call 'hard cider'.

Tried some Magners tonight. I can't say I'm a fan. There is a taste to it that I just find unpleasant. Reminds me of something, though I can't quite put my finger on it. On the up side, it goes down very smooth. I polished one off in less than five minutes.

I know what you mean. I call that taste 'chemically'.

I definitely prefer the Strongbow.
I do want to try some French cider one day though.
