Looking through this forum i can see i'm going to have to do a LOT of reading and studying before i can contribute anything useful to such dedicated researchers! I can't re-read TCTC for at least another year yet, thats after i get through my already toppling pile of books on the read list. But! i will not despair, i will not descecrate the books i love! :p

Welcome, Heirarchy!

It is indeed true that the Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant are on their way. Check out the "Third Chronicles Watch" section on the main kevinswatch.com page for details

Ah, the seldom used but highly coveted pirate vowels. Lets see. OOO is when you open a treasure chest or perhaps when you are skewered through the midsection with a cutlass. EEE is when you..uh...find a mouse in your grool? :-)

I just happened to come upon this site recently. Over the last couple of weeks I have been rereading "The Chronicles." I first read them back when I was 13 in the 80's. I did my junior theme in high school on Donaldson and the books. Tonight I just finished with "The One Tree." It is interesting going back as an adult and reading them from a different prespective. When I was younger I identified with Covenant from the first Chronicles. Now I find I better identify with him as he becomes toward the end of the Second Chronicles. BTW I read these books both while deeply depressed (they actually helped relieve me) as well as now when I no longer suffer from depression. I find the books very healing on many levels. As a girl it was healing to know someone somewhere was able to create a character that helped me express my feelings... basically someone understood me when I could not understand myself. Now as I read it helps me see how I have changed and grown... where I once was, am now and where I am headed.
