No additional snow overnight, but temperatures dipped in to the mid teens, and everything is iced over. With the hills, and drivers not all that experienced driving in such conditions, schools have decided to close again.

Highs are supposed to be about 30. Sounds as though a third snow day may be the result, if it doesn't start to melt off.

Still very cold, but no snow. Twin Peaks got a dusting, but that's not super rare. Can't remember the last time I was up there. It's pretty, but nowadays it's where tourists go to get their cameras stolen. Well, one of the places. This city is going downhill.

No more hail, which Director Donner is thankful for. The upstairs neighbor's plumbing sounds like someone torturing a wookiee during a thunderstorm, so my cats are usually unfazed by things like thunder and fireworks and fighter jets.

18 degrees in Castle Rock, CO today,
it snowed a bit earlier..i was out doing errands, on the north side of I-25 where I was doing errands, it was snow flurries, not really sticking and not dangerous driving at all. sort of a pish pah little snow flurry.
by the time I crossed back over to the south side of I-25 it was nearly blizzardy conditions and visibility was about 30 feet. not kidding. I drove VURY slowly back home and got up my steepass driveway JUST in time. had I gotten home any later I woulda had to park on the street. my little 2005 ford escape is just too light to get up our driveway when the snow is slippery.

Today was cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold. Wednesday is supposed to be cold and rainy. Thursday has a chance of vampire clouds.

Maybe that's supposed to represent lightning. I tell you, I just don't get all these hieroglyphics.

That got a chuckle out of the small boy.

My husband has an uncle who's witty (well, more than one of those actually - but I'm referencing the comment of a specific one) and I've heard him gripe, "What is going on? We've had written language, but now, as time goes on, we're going back to hieroglyphics?"

We were supposed to get rain this afternoon, but I believe it just continued to snow. We may have gotten an additional foot! This former Floridian has been here seven years, and I've never seen anything like this.

I'm a little bit jealous, but also glad I don't need to commute in it.

Urgh, hate snow. :D

Been rainy here, which is nice. What's not so nice is that the power utility is having problems again, so we're enjoying "load shedding" (also known as rolling blackouts) in which different areas are scheduled to have no power at certain times. Which kinda sucks.

It's true though. I am one of the last people on the planet who doesn't have a smartphone. Which is completely by choice, but while my phone does everything I require a phone to do, it does not support the full menu of emoticons, and will display a square outline when someone sends me one it doesn't recognize. I have one friend who will occasionally send me a message that's just square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, smiley face. And they never remember.

Hah, I'm ahead of someone. Mine can actually take and receive photos. Except the screen is tiny and the quality is dreadful.

My old GM used to send me screenshots of WoW stuff from the guild's raiding page on FB. Which was really nice of her, going out of her way to keep me in the loop. Except the pics were too small for me to actually read anything. I'd break out a magnifying glass and everything, but nope.

I'm probably hopeless. I like technology. I just don't want a smartphone. A computer is fine. I can turn it off and walk away.

I spend too much time on the PC as it is...if my phone could double as another one, I would never get off it.

Been cloudy and rainy all week. Quite nice after all the heat, and looks set to continue until at least tomorrow.

The firm is paying for my phone, so I pretty much have to pay attention to it. It's an iPhone 8, so not quite the tippy-top of technology. But I don't want a bigger phone anyway -- I want to be able to carry it around in my pocket. Seems like every new iPhone model gets a teensy bit bigger...

I have proudly been displaying my flip phone to people for a while now. I don't need all that nonsense. I have an iPad and a computer, and have been very happy without. Except that I wanted to be able to do geocaching.

Around July, my mom gave me her old iPhone, and I finally made the damn switch. I am embarrassingly bad at using the new phone. Mainly because I don't care. Nobody calls or texts me except for my wife. And I care so little about the rest of it, and there just are not enough geocaches nearby me, and it requires I leave the house to find them. With it being winter, I just don't wanna. But probably this summer...

And within a month of finally getting a smartphone, work gave me one as well. Now I am saddled with two smartphones. I keep them both in separate pockets when I work, and I'm worried about the damage they are doing to my nuts. I'm done having babies, so I don't care, but....still....yeah.
I have been enjoying playing standup from Netflix in my car on my car stereo though, particularly Tim Minchin and Bo Burnham.
Anyway, keep the old as long as you can, Sorus. Much respect!
