You mean how the Tor got a ruptured spleen and decided to elect a new Castelan?

Well... what were the horrors Eremis et al bequeathed on each Care? And which of them didn't we see?

The storehouses of the Desmesne are raided by devouring lizards.

Strange wolves have killed the Tor's son.

Pits of fire appear in Termigan.

The villages of Fayle are attacked by ghouls.

The Perdon is cursed with a hopeless fight with the more numerous army of Cadwal.

Domne is harried by attack from the wolves and a firecat.

Armigite is threatened by the army of Alend gathering at the border, but that is not the doing of Eremis et al.

We never see the devouring lizards, but we see all the rest as we move through the story.

Thank you, Shadowbinding Shoe! Let's see what I can find as a new quiz question.

[Coming up with quiz questions for Mordant's Need trivia is trickier than coming up with quiz questions for Gap Cycle trivia. The reasons are that
A) the Mordant's Need quiz thread has gone on longer than the Gap Quiz thread (making it harder to avoid repetition), and
B) there's less Mordant's Need text to work with to find new questions, as opposed to five Gap books with so much more information to use.]

Concerning the Termigan: according to what he told Terisa, what would an Imager have to do to gain the Termigan's trust?

Kill himself? :D

(I've never worried that I might have repeated a question that's already been asked.)

Haha, a little maybe.

Ok...Um...who were the dead bodies they found in Esmerel, and in what notable way had one of them been killed?

The dead bodies were of the Perdon and his soldiers. The Perdon himself was killed after a large corkscrew was forced through the back of his throat, causing him to drown on his own blood. :hairs:

Thanks!

This next question concerns Lebbick. When Lebbick becomes unpopular in Orison for severely beating Saddith, he picks Ribuld to be his personal bodyguard. Artagel asks Lebbick what his reason was for choosing Ribuld for that important task. What reason does Lebbick give?

You're close. Geraden has something to do with the answer.

Uh...Ribult got hurt in the attack on Terisa/Geraden and therefore couldn't be involved with the attacker?

No, that's not it. Here's a hint: Lebbick's reasoning has to do with how Ribuld feels about Geraden, rather than how Geraden feels about Ribuld.

"I need somebody I can trust. He likes Geraden. That's all I've got to work with."
--Lebbick to Artagel in Chapter 34 of A Man Rides Through

Your answer is close enough for me, Avatar! (And you were pretty close to begin with on your first guess!)
Good job, and once again it's your question. 8)
