Linna .. Hahahahaha you made me laugh out loud .. youre so funny about Facey cos youre not particularly that active on Facebook anyhow :haha:

:LOLS:

As to that lady .. she makes a good point I believe, but there are Christians and Christians. I have experienced pushback from within my Christian community to show any kindness to a person outside of our insular community. I always found this rather shocking. And then there was a process whereby a sense of deservingness was applied. And a long raft of questions about the individual in questions need  Did they bring it on themselves, what do they want, is it what they truly need, how will we assist, how will we avoid "the appearance of evil" etc.

Ive also seen great generosity of spirit shown by Christian families .. to be fair .. as well. So it really comes down to the individual I think.

But as a block of humans .. I can see where she is coming from.

And it is a great shame imho .. and sometimes I wonder what their Christ would think of such narrow expressions of charity or their lack thereof.

Though I understand too that to some humans opening their homes to strangers isnt a thing most are comfortable with doing .. and I totally get that too.

Our home was always open .. and some did take advantage of that .. in not a good way. 🤷‍♀️ so mayhap it be a bit of a gamble, but hopefully there is some benefit to someone truly seeking strengthening and support.

Im guessing with summer up north .. most Watchers are at the beach, sunning themselves, all night partying and the like .. cos summer ;)

As for us down south .. winter .. so indoors every night .. mostly .. so yeah .. some maybe by hibernating from the cold and frosts .. 🤷‍♀️

I'm not on the beach or hibernating, though if those are the only options, I will choose hibernation. It isn't particularly cold here; I'm just rather tired.

LOL .. I think we can accord you a broader array of options 😂 but hibernation is a sound approach to tiredness and exhaustion ;)

Well we talked all night to the wee hours of the morning .. and it was soo fun. And its soooo awesome to spend time with my granbaby girl .. a pic of which I have tried to upload to the Motley Crew but 🤷‍♀️not been able to at this point. I dont really know why .. cos I was able to upload other pics 🤷‍♀️ But Ive not been able to upload since a month or so ago 🤷‍♀️

Anyhoo .. Ive got the kids till Friday when they leave us to go to our daughter in Canberra. Time seem to be flying by .. everyone is having a nap now. We were up till about 3am this morning chatting, and when Alex went to bed, Riley woke up and was up till 7am .. so no one has really had any sleep .. as weve been playing with Riley to keep her happy .. shes just gone to sleep now.

Its sunny today .. but there is quite an icy wind .. Alex has been out with his drone collecting footage so that was fun. I love the aerial imagery .. very cool.

I could do with a bit of hibernating myself to be honest.

I was being all irresponsible going to the movies on a worknight, and now I'm too wired to go to bed. I will pay for this tomorrow.

Well, Friday at least.

On the downside, I have to see my brother today to get some docs signed for my uncle's estate. Fortunately (or not), he's currently living and working uncomfortably close to me at the moment.

Ha, thanks. It'll be fine, it's just a pain in the ass and a bit stressful to have to put myself through it. :D

The only thing worse than family drama is family drama that involves money.

Hahaha, yeah, and that hasn't even entered into it. (Not that there will be much money involved anyway...)

ugh . truth 🙄

re the family dramas involving money .. or worse estate settlements :P

I dont know why .. but they seem to bring out the very worst in people, especially family.

When my dad died .. my brother and sister both of whom I dearly love .. made me feel awful .. cos he was actually my step dad not my biological father. Same mum different dads .. and I never really knew my biological father .. the guy that died was the only dad Id ever really had .. and it really hurt that they did that. It was also unnecessary. 🤷‍♀️ :(

I know, right?
So I was actually already using that "retreated (did I say 'retired'?) from public life" narrative. a bit. ;)

Anyways, I seem to have this thing where it seems that if I say something about a problem that has me "stuck" out loud, sometimes (SOMETIMES!) I almost immediately can start not being bound by that problem.
So would ya believe... this past week, I've been more active on FB ...mostly writing on other peoples' walls, and not my own... mostly other people who either seem lonely or ignored -OR- who brought up really intersesting topics in their posts.
Though I'm always afraid one of my close friends will see my activity conversing with a mutual friend and think, "Hey, why isn't she paying attention to me?!?!"

It's difficult. sigh.

anyways... sky, hospitality is an area my fam has been looking to push ourselves beyond what we usually do.
I've concluded that one of the reasons for this is conflict in the decision-making process...
(the other being I... haven't keep the house ...especially... clean.)
Some things are going well in that adventure.

Anyways, more recent things in the convos on this thread.. Sky!

I'm sorry to hear that. <3
