Me too. Most of them have gone over to torrentzap.
That's where the party is? Thanks, Sea, I'll check it out.

Its been so friggin cold here these last few days!
Wind chill down in the minus 15-18 range.

Although, I had to split some wood yesterday; and it always goes well when its got frost on it.

Yeah, most of the big-namers have gone over to that. Pretty much the same as mininova.

I'm pretty darn tired. Since about 8pm yesterday, I have finished 6.5 of the 8 types of holiday treats on my list (still have to frost the sugar cookies and make the raspberry bars), finished wrapping gifts, cleaned the bathrooms, did laundry, went to book club, and went to the grocery store. Yeesh.

Should be a good week coming up. We've got a cookie exchange at work tomorrow, then the holiday party Thursday afternoon. Somewhere in there, we might get some work done, too.... ;)

I'm also looking forward to Holiday. I went car shopping this weekend. It went terribly. We found only one car with everything we were looking for; a single-owner 06 Hyundai Accent with 40k miles on it for $8k. When we called the guy the next morning to make a deal, he said to come in in an hour. We did, and he told us they sold the car. Sigh. This is such a frustrating process. It's starting to get depressing.

I'm really depressed today.

The last thing I wanted to do last night was to draw a circle. Well, three circles actually. I wanted to map out a graphical representation of a reverb fx plug-in - 3 concentric rings at 1/3 percentages.

Anyway, I got out my geometery set only to find that the wheel on the compass that holds the piece of lead kept dropping out. The thread inside the tip of the armature was gone. For the life of me I just can't imagine how this could have happened. So upset.

But an hour or two on the Watch always cheers me up!

EDIT: now I'm really really really depressed, and feeling like a total idiot. The screws on the wheels of the compass have lugs on the end so the slots don't need thread. Last night I totally lost it and threw the thing across the room, it hit the wall and completely buckled - drat!!!

Which means that little green man in his flying teapot I was speaking to a few days ago at the bus stop must have been a dream

That was a long day. I went in to work at OD, then left at noon to run Igor's shop for a few hours and then back to OD and worked until 8:30. We got hit hard by an evening rush and the place was trashed. The print and copy center has been swamped due to finals at the SF Academy of Art around the corner and the students have all waited until the last minute possible to print their finals. I had one girl today who was such a megabitch about having to (1) wait in line behind the five desperate students who made it their before her, probably directly after class instead of stopping at Starbucks for a caramel brulee soy latte extra foam and in a venti cup by request or whatever the heck she was drinking and (2) her copies were not perfect color matches and she just could not grasp the concept of RPG which is computer screen color and CYMB which is actual physical print color. She kept trying to blame me and I was quite tempted to tell her, "I don't know why your parents are wasting their money on art school for you anyway since most of the projects I've seen these past few weeks make you look like you have trouble with stick figures, color and imagination." I did restrain myself.... barely... Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Kudos on keeping your cool, CMJ. Not sure how much restraint I would have shown.

Pathetic how some people, sequestered into their own world and stressed by its rules and rituals, become jerks who turn their anger and contempt on people on the outside, who are just trying to get on with their lives, too.

Having a 'meh' kind of day. Work is proving to be very frustrating at the moment but we did get a visit from Santa!

Now if only we were able to get him to grant us all 3 wishes...

Your dps is fine. It'll go up as you get better gear, and you know it.

And Cag, I'm not sure if you've become an intergalactic eel salesman or if you're in need of an exterminator, but I wish you luck either way.
