If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

Then you're even a better actor than I realized. You made it look so sensual and effortless on the show...

We've never seen the temple, but that 4-toed statue is good guess.

I'm now caught up with the first three episodes of this season. Looks like we have some interesting stuff going on.
-An organisation out in the real world who is interested in Ben and the island. They also know that the 815 wreck is a fake, but did not know whether or not there were survivors in the real crash. Whatever deal the "Oceanic 6" made to get off the island, it wasn't with these people: the black guy who sent Naomi on the mission was, later, trying to get Hurley to admit the truth about the survivors. I suspect they have some relationship with the Dharma or the Hanso Foundation.
-Ben survives the season and gets off the island. Not "Oceanic 6", because he couldn't fake it--he's not on the manifest, and the organisation above know who he is and would recognise him. He's now using Sayid to hunt down the people who were part of the organisation (evidence: the woman Sayid killed was wearing the same bracelet as Naomi), probably because they are a threat to the island.
-The island's power is not limited to the island itself. Charlie appearing to Hurley at the mental institution proves this. Previously, dead people have only been seen on the island itself. (Question this provokes: Is Walt dead? His psychic abilities have in the past been shown as explanation of appearances, but there's something different about him appearing to Locke.)
The introduction of ghosts in the real world with Miles is also an interesting expansion of the strange into what we previously thought was the normal outside world.

I like the way the series' structure is changing, now. Season four with two parallel storylines: how they get off the island, and how they end up deciding to go back. We can presume that at some point (season five?) there will be a switch, and the story will drop the on-island storyline and continue from the future one--we'll follow them back to the island with no idea what's been happening there while they were back home.

I download them illegally. ;)
I would just watch them when they broadcast here (not long after they broadcast in the US) but I don't have enough control over what gets put on the TV to have any chance of catching it regularly (had that trouble ever since Sky One bought the show out from Channel 4, making it more difficult to see--we only have Sky on one TV in the house). Downloading's much more convenient.

I was saying who it was during the whole episode, especially after the reveal that this existed and then who she was bunking with. Vague enough for you? Trying not to be too spoilery, but still...

Can anyone explain
Spoiler
How the lawyer could talk about putting Kate's son on the stand?

I spent the whole show trying to figure out how Kate could get a grown up kid, which seemed possible given the island's temporal effects.

Awright, I'm busting out the spoilers. There is a warning on this thread, after all.

Aaron's special. Probably does magick. I'm sure he can at least juggle, though we've not been shown that yet.

Yeah, I figured not enough time had gone by, and then in the next scene (I think after the commercial), she's there with Claire and Aaron. I just knew it must be Aaron that is "her son."

When I saw the kid at the end, and he said "hi mom," I said it right along with Kate.

Okay, I've just watched the ep. Main thoughts from this one concern the whole cover story thing.
1) Kate really doesn't like the cover story. She doesn't like it when John's there calling her a hero. All six of them, I think, feel guilty about how they got off the island.
2) Jack said there were eight, and that Kate tried to save the other two. For some reason, the cover story isn't a straighforward affair: they've had to tell people that something happened after the crash, and people died. My guess is that those two people die right up around the time of the rescue, so that they have to tell the rescuers something.
3) Jack won't see Aaron because he feels responsible for the fact Claire's not there to care for him. Since Desmond saw Claire and Aaron boarding the helicopter in his vision, I'm going to say she's one of the two that die.
Definately points to something going wrong during the rescue.

It wouldn't be Lost if something didn't go wrong. As #1, is "John" a typo? Maybe I missed something.

As for #3, Claire might survive. Claire might want Aaron to not get used by either side, since he is supposedly "special." But we'll see. It does seem weird that she would let him go since she is supposed to be the one to raise him. But like you say, all we know is she gets on the helicopter.

Oh, this show is getting so damn exciting. It does seem like it has lost its heart though. I wish we could slow down and have some of those great moments from Season 1 again, but they have a deadline now, which kinda sucks.
