Yeah, we had a big swing here within the last 24 hours. Last night regular unleaded was $1.45, this am it was $1.59, and now it's $1.48.

So what is behind all of this? Is it a mea culpa from Exxon and so forth? We are all being hit so now it is time to relax on the record profits, or what? It's got my conspiracy mind a-buzzin'.

If it's truly all supply and demand then Exxon's profits should remain just as high as they always were despite the cost of crude.
I want to see if this is the case as well.

..well then they are still making good money on the Arizonians,,1.89 for low and poor diesel still up there at 2.39.

I just paid $1.42 for regular unleaded, and filled up for $30. Woo-hoo!

I paid $1.63 on my way out of Manassas on Thanksgiving morning, and $1.53 in Roanoke on my way out of town yesterday. Sweet.

$2.29 in downtown Bethesda last night, $1.49 in Odenton.

You, sir, are the winner! :D I just filled up for $1.52 because my gas light came on. Likely we will drop to close to your proce tomorrow. :roll:

That's okay, though. . . I'll be traveling to KC and back tomorrow, so we're going to be burning the gas (2.5 hours each way). :)

Yeah. . . the prices have gone up a few cents this week. It's currently between $1.55 and $1.57. :?

On Dec 30, in the morning at Kroger, the posted price was 1.199. With my Kroger discount, I paid 1.099. Since then, it's edged back up about 40 cents. :o

Yup, it's going back up around here, too. Any speculation? I assumed we were getting the hikes in preparation for the influx of out-of-towners later this week. But since it's happening across-the-board, that's likely not the case. :(
