Absolutely true. Brian Greene points out that there is absolutely no evidence to support String Theory. It's just the math that suggests it. Math sometimes suggests the existence of something, which is then verified using other means. But that certainly doesn't mean everything math suggests actuality exists.

Indeed. Human nature seeps into everything. Still, very often, math is not misused.
