It's true. I'm getting a much stronger Foul vibe now.

I'm tired. Despite the short hours it was a long day at work. Then I left, late as usual and walked almost all the way home and realized I left my stinking cell phone at work so I had to walk back and get it. I talked about my film hobby a bit at work today with Marygrace but I only told her about "Raised by Crows." There was an odd vibe at work today. Probably because inventory is this weekend and stress levels are high with management. I am off tomorrow though so I am going to sleep in, theoretically and then be lazy.

Just a general observation, that's all. Good guys don't always get the girl.

MM, move to SF, we can start a life together, I'll work and cook and clean and we can have laundry day with Lucimay on Sundays. I don't care about money except to make enough to live off of and I don't need fancy living.

I don't think that's The Girl, then. ;)

I just realized I am the lamest friend ever. I was supposed to ask Lucimay if she would take in Heatherly's roomies cat for two weeks. The cat is totally submissive to the other house cats and totally house trained for litter box. Lucimay, call me or Heatherly, I know you have both our numbers. Sorus, I need a slap. Maybe you dont' feel I am the one who deserves it but I think I need a wake up slap. So if you need to slap anyone, slap me. If it makes you feel any better about work, I literally knocked our boss on his ass twice today while he was crouched down and I also knuckle smacked him three times with a weapon he gave me permission to use on him, two of which left probably left marks. He still made a mess in my department. I think we were all cranky today. Ugh.

Itchy. I'm wearing about 8 stickers on my chest and a little recorder for a 24-hour ECG. They had to shave my chest hair in a few places.

Are you sure it is an ECG, or are you unwittingly being used as a mole for the FBI/CIA?

Long weekends are good, but long weeks are better! I was at work on Monday, but it seems so much longer!

3 days next week, then 3 and a half weeks off 8O I've never had more that 10 days off since I started working!

Took some video of Moose on the beach today and had a nice brunch and walk with Heatherly. It was a good day.

Have a great vacation, Stone, and a great long weekend, Av!

Home again, finally, after what seems like forever. Left my friend's house in Indianapolis around noon today and got home after 10:30pm tonight. Damn cat is so glad to see me that she won't leave me alone. Oh well, at least she's still speaking to me. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight! :Z:

I feel like I've been ripped off by someone I thought I could trust. It's a small matter, otherwise totally unimportant, but still, not a good feeling.

There is no place like home. :) Other people may want to fly off to some beach for spring break, but me...all I wanted to do was come home here to the Mountain and spend time with my family.
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

There is indeed no place like home...and I am so happy to be back at mine for more than the brief weekend that has been all I got for the past few months.

The job I took in December (after eight months hiatus) was too far from home to be able to commute daily, so I have been living in that city during the weeks and going home on weekends. This has been a huge strain at home and also made me less effective professionally than I wanted and needed to be. Something had to give.

Well, I got good back-channel advice from some of my friends here (you all know who you are...and how deeply I appreciate your caring) "Family has to be primary." "Time is too short to stay where you are not happy." "I know you would be happer at home..." In the end, there was no real alternative, although it was scary to walk away from a job without another lined up.

I tendered my resignation, worked through as much of a transition as the company needed, and came home to stay last night.
