Jenn, think of it as an opportunity to watch Jacob pay for his lack of trust in your judgment.

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Worn out. Tired. Sore. Yes, all the symptoms of moving. Been doing it all week, and it's just plum worn me out. I moved my entire comic collection yesterday, and damn that was heavy. I have to get back at it today, but I don't want to. But I have to, as I'm supposed to be out of here today. At the rate I'm going, though, it looks more like I'll be out tomorrow. I may be off-line for a week, don't know how long it'll take to hook up the internet. Anyway, back to work.......

Hang in there, dAN. 'Tis the season -- with any luck I'll be moving in a few weeks myself.

I hate moving. I do like the novelty of a new place though once I'm in it.
I'm tired. Towards the end of the day I asked Jacob what time he was leaving. He said seven. I asked him if he would give me a ride home. He asked what time I was working until. I said seven thirty. He said fine. I said we were still leaving at seven because he was going to fudge my time clock for the last half hour to start making it up to me for all the crap I did for him this week alone. He looked at me long and hard for a minute and then said in a somewhat awed voice, "You really do have quite a few bargaining chips with me." and I just looked at him deadly seriously and said, "I know." He had a kind of worried look on his face in return.

Jenn:
This morning, I drove back to my #1 choice of apartment complexes and put in an application. (They don't take online apps. But they also don't charge a bunch of bogus fees, and they don't strong-arm you into signing a new lease when the current lease term is up. I like that. )This afternoon, the leasing agent called me back. Turns out there's a special on the unit I want -- it's actually going to be about $150/month cheaper. Woot!

I read rents are pretty high in your neck of the woods. I may have to move into an apartment this summer and have been looking around. Rents in NYC are insane. Studios in the 'bad' areas are running 1400/month.aliantha wrote:Jenn:
