Beach, dogs, sausages on the grill on the beach and then more bees. I may be predictable but it's a good thing in this case.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Got all the stuff moved out of the old apartment this morning and turned in the keys -- yay! Then I spent the afternoon putting up pictures and stuff in the new place. I can't tell you how relieved I am to be done moving...

I caught up with the dishes and got some vacuuming done today. Then I went and visited my mom for lunch and this afternoon watched a nail-biting hockey game, the Blackhawks beating Nashville in overtime. A Mediterranean pizza, (spinach, feta cheese and roasted garlic) for dinner afterwards. Now, I'm browsing the Watch and sipping on amaretto coffee. :D

That pizza sounds good. I can't believe I spent two weeks in the US and didn't eat even one pizza. It's disgraceful. I understand that American pizzas are very different from ours. Pizza Hut is pretty much the height of pizza here. Almost no Italian component to British culture, you see.

Went to the beach today with Heatherly and Bloodguard Bob and the doggies. Bloodguard Bob fell asleep in the sand.

I quickly took care of his nap.

I will post some of my artsy stuff in the photography thread. All in all it was a great day. I didn't see the bees today though, got too late at the beach but I am going to go visit them tomorrow.

I feel awesomely excited today, despite being rather depressed for most of the day. See, for over two weeks now, the smurf village in my stomach has been very angry with me, causing a liquidy mess to spill forth from my southern regions without relent, while also causing some pretty darn painful sensations in my abdomen. Well, yesterday I was completely pain free, and only took half of a medicinal pill which aids my stomach issues. Today, still no pain, no medicine at all, and I am getting hungry like normal, and had no emergency trips to the w.c.....

The smurfs are finally happy again! Tomarrow I shall feast like the days of yesteryear!!

Yeah, maybe you should take it easy for a few days...not stress the system yet.

Me, I have mixed feelings today...

Got a 4-day weekend, since tuesday is a public holiday, and work gave us the monday off. So very very happy about that. :D

Extremely unseasonal rain though, so it's cold and wet, which is just wrong.

Usually I wouldn't mind, but a friend of mine organised a building for us to abseil/rap-jump off yesterday, which I was really looking forward to, but we had to cancel because of the rain. So I'm disappointed about that.

But, on the whole, things are good. :D

Feast today, Shuram, and then post in the TC threads!

The Moo always likes to be the middle of the action, Jenn.

Cj, you were over here two weeks and you didn't have one pizza? Your itinerary got messed up! The best pizza is found in the local places, but it's trial and error; bad pizza places far outnumber the good. The chains are mostly poor, though I do like California Pizza Kitchen - there's one near the Apple Store where I shop. There's nothing like plunking down a couple of hundred dollars to Steve Jobs, then having a Thai pizza afterwards.

I have almost all encompassing tastes when it comes to toppings on pizza. The only topping I really don't care for are olives. The pizza I had yesterday had olives as a default topping; I had them put in the roasted garlic instead. Garlic is just as Mediterranean as olives. It was a great choice.

As for today, for me, I promised my mom I'd take her out to breakfast. I don't think I'd mentioned it but after her recent health problems she decided to move into an assisted living center. It's good for her to have trained help about should she need it, and the other residents there are very friendly. They also look out after mom, who is functionally blind.

Afterwards, the day is open, though the weather is again bad, so I guess it'll be more housekeeping.

Next time you come to the States, CovJr, we'll take you out for pizza for sure.

Chilling out this morning and enjoying the feeling of having all my crap in one place again. I spent part of yesterday checking out the new building. I haven't lived in a highrise since freshman year of college, so it's kind of different for me. There's a convenience store here in the building. If I run out of milk or soda or whatever, I don't even have to go outside. 8O

You're kidding. Okay, that's it, you both have to come back. *Now.*

Yeah, bizarre eh. To be honest, never even thought about it. [I'm actually sad I only got to go to Arbys once--I liked that...best mank I've had in ages!]

But, ok...I'm on my way *right now!!!*

Yay! Seafest TWO! Went and played with the bees again today. Got some more stellar shots. Got buzzed by a very defensive angry guardian bee as did Heatherly and Chris. Very exciting. I was of course wearing great defensive equipment called a baby doll t-shirt and no hat or veil. Problem is that I can't get that close and focus through the mesh with the macro and in that close I have to manual focus because the autofocus doesn't work great in that overly close range with the bees constantly moving. Still didn't get stung. I'll post some up in the photography thread in a bit. I took some artsy shots of the irises in the yard as well. I totally managed to get the Georgia O'Keefe look I wanted. Very happy with the iris shots.

But, yeah: I'll be back before you know it! ;)

Elora Grace turned 5 on Earth Day and had a great tea party on Sunday. Our friend Cathy (and Grace's favorite adult-aside from Jenn, Waddely and Luci  ) showed up dressed to the nines as a fairy princess with roses for everyone (and music to boot). When she anointed Grace with her wand on the head she freaked and ran away and had to be consoled and dragged back-but after that she had a blast.

Make your own pizza! It'll be 57428983278 times better than Pizza Hut. Do you need a recipe? I have a gazillion. I'm married to an Italian from New York. They know damn good pizza. And Italian food, naturally.

As Sorus knows, I made everyone look at my world's cutest bee photo. She understands, not everyone else does. Ryan was blown away by my iris images and took copies off my puter on his flashdrive. I even ended up showing some customers some of my bee pics and was told that I should be submitting this stuff to National Geographic and had a woman totally cutesing over the bees. She was incredulous at how cute the bees could be. I mean seriously, could he be any cuter? Sticking his little head and front feets out the bee entry? Looking at me like, "Hey, Whazzup?" I just want to woogie him and scritch his fuzzy chest and head and call him Fernando.
