Random fact: The main performer of Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer (Dr. Elmo Shropshire) was the veterinarian for most of my pets before he retired. He used to sell cassettes of his recordings at the office counter.

Peter, your symptoms sound exactly the same as mine. I used to curl up and keep completely still as any movement made it worse. Do you still have your gall bladder? I have no problems now I've had mine out, except now and again my hiatus hernia plays up a bit.

Sorry not to have been here for so long. Just damn lazy I'm afraid. I don't spend much time on the computer at the moment as I am having trouble with my eyes - another effect of the haemorrhage. I've managed to offload a large part of what I did for the Family History Society so theoretically I should have a lot more time on my hands, but you know how it goes. I really must try to get back into some kind of routine.
Hubby has now retired from driving the school bus, he will be 69 next birthday, so next time I visit ABQ I will bring him with me. Goodness knows what he will make of you lot! Sammy (our 13 year old dog) is still with us, but I doubt very much that he will survive another year. He sleeps very deeply and I had a heck of a job waking him up the other morning. He seems to be almost completely deaf now but he is still very good natured.

13's a good age. We have been lucky I guess, with our dogs. My first dog made it to 17. Zac is our 2nd - and we have two more - one is 6, and the other is nearly 12 months old. We'll see how they go!

Funny Fact: Nigerians love Feliz Navidad, although they have absolutely no idea what it's saying. I finally wrote out the Spanish lyric for my grade 3 class (because it was like, "Fah-leeze knobby dod, pus..mumblesomething mehffy mehffy Dod) and they were like "OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" and several kids hurriedly wrote it down.
I am very leery of new Christmas songs because most of them seem so crassly commercial, but I do love Sting's Christmas at Sea, Noel by Chris Tomlin and Lauren Daigle, Coventry Carol/King Without a Mountain by Beta Radio, All is Well by Wayne Kirkpatrick, Welcome to Our World by Chris Rice.

I'm trying to picture what would happen if I tried that at work. My co-workers tend to take things literally and I try not to leave room for misunderstanding. There was a time that I blamed a printer problem on gremlins, and a co-worker was actually quite worried that I really believed there were gremlins in the printer. There are gremlins in the printer, but that's not the point. Now I don't remember what the point was.

My origami skills are non-existent I fear. Luckily the meeting went well nonetheless...which was good since the client CEO flew out here from the UK for it.
