Try Gmail Chat...it almost always works for me.Auleliel wrote:I'm feeling very lonely this morning. Facebook chat isn't working for me, and neither is Skype, and I wanted to talk to my family. Don't you need to have a gmail account for that? The people I want to talk to don't have gmail accounts. Neither do I, for that matter.balon! wrote:Try Gmail Chat...it almost always works for me.Auleliel wrote:I'm feeling very lonely this morning. Conclusion: everyone in Washington is bought off by corporations and is an absolute idiot.
Day so far: obstacles, changes
Weather: 57 now, sunny, high of 70
Last song heard: Europa-Gato Barbeiri
Project: building 20 x 10 ft. deck off the back of the house, wood arrives Sunday.
Agenda for rest of day:
read MoI at local coffee shop
attend Families First conference call for PTA
go to library with Grace
see chiropractor (doing all this redesign and heavy lifting, not mention the 300 lb rock we helped move for the neighbor, takes it toll...)
watch Despicable Me
Mood: Blah, but ready to tear it up

Yes. But that doesn't solve my current problem of trying to talk to my family, now, does it?Vain wrote:I meant for chatting here at KW. It used to be all the rageAuleliel wrote:I love the chatbane. Had a great day. Ten of the region's yarn shops have launched a joint promotion they're calling the Metro Yarn Crawl. Last month, they put special tote bags on sale. The totes contained a card. Today through next weekend, if you take the tote to a participating store, you get 20% off all full-price yarn (plus patterns and some other stuff). Plus you get your card stamped at each store, regardless of whether you buy anything there. If you visit 7 of the 10 stores, you can enter your card into a drawing at the store of your choice. So! Today we hit 4 of the 10 stores, and I brought home yarn for three pairs of socks, a vest, and a sweater (I've been looking for the yarn for that particular sweater pattern for several months, so I'm very excited!).
One of the stores is really close to my office, so I'll probably head up there after work one night this week. The rest of the stores are on the other side of DC. I think it'll be next weekend before I get up there....
