See, that's just not realistic. No cat would ever sit directly on the litter like that.
Had a new audit controller on Saturday for the big annual audit. She looked over my paperwork and told me I was lucky to have it so easy. She went on to complain about the long list of problems she faces at her location. And I kept my mouth shut, because I have the exact same problems and the only difference is that I am extremely proactive about catching and fixing them before they get out of control. So that's my problem. I make my job look easy. I don't know what to do about that.

you're more advanced than a cockroach,
have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

I'm not convinced that's a bad thing. Have you seen the way people drive? They're testing the self-driving cars around here, and I was very much against the idea at first, but hell, the robots couldn't possibly do a worse job than humans. At least they aren't easily distracted.

Haha, agree with Sorus...it's bad enough worrying about people driving into you or cutting you off without having to watch for them falling from the skies as well.
I have mixed emotions...as part of a civil protest against recent government actions, our company will be closed tomorrow.
On the one hand, short week (and I already had Monday off for my birthday) so will fall even further behind. (And next week and the week after will also be short, since it's the Easter weekend so next Friday and the following Monday are public holidays.)
On the other hand...day off...

Falling behind sucks, but I'd pounce on a day off right now. My boss keeps handing me big projects, and I can't tell if it's a test. Am I supposed to be delegating some of it? If I get another teamwork lecture I'm going to have to force him to give me the name of the person he wants me to delegate to, because there isn't anybody, and he knows there isn't anybody. It's the same amorphous 'somebody' that's going to cover my supposed vacation, and that 'somebody' represents an ideal that doesn't exist in the people he has hired.

Well today Thursday the 6th bit on the lousey side.
Just had my 6th stent placed in my heart, Outpatient procedure.
Aches where they punched/(insert tube here) me in the goin area..
Now they gave me some plavix to keep the platelets from sticking around the stent yet I need them to be sticky to heal the artery they put a hole in.
Not allowed to lift 10 lbs(~ 4 kilos) for 5 days, same for doing any labor... mowing the lawn, carrying grocerys.
Well it might get better later but it hell getting old...

I've felt discouraged this week, and not wanting to do my part...
This is perhaps bad of me.
With health stuff, I feel bothered when I realize, "oh... hey... this thing actually isn't going to be as good as new." :-/Ur Dead wrote:Well today Thursday the 6th bit on the lousey side.

I keep wanting to make a list of some pro's and con's to your co-workers not actually being literal children under the age of say, 8.Sorus wrote:Falling behind sucks, but I'd pounce on a day off right now. Sorry, Ur Dead. That sounds rough. I hope you have a fast & uncomplicated recovery.
It doesn't feel like Friday.
Wouldn't work. They'd just roll their eyes and go back to poking at their phones. Being my protege is the last thing they want, pizza or no pizza - it would require them to do actual work.Shuram Gudatetris wrote:Sorus, you could have a reality-tv style competition, where they all compete to prove who's the best. Winner gets to be your protege! (You'll probably need some sort of participation consolation prize in the form of pizza or something.)

I'd say they're closer to 12. High school cliques and whatnot.Linna Heartlistener wrote:I keep wanting to make a list of some pro's and con's to your co-workers not actually being literal children under the age of say, 8.
