It's just after 3 in the morning. I'm on my second night of little to no sleep. I have a bitch of a headache and can't get comfortable. I came in here to fight off the urge to stuff a sock in my husbands mouth. (Not that I feel homicidal, it's just that HE WON'T QUIT SNORING!)

Other than that, I'm good. :?

Hope your feeling better Seareach.

I'm sore. Was helping my climbing partner with a kids birthday party this sunday at the dive club he works for by belaying the little brats on the climbing wall.

Smashed my foot into the wall well and truly, (no, not while belaying luckily) resulting in (at best) a really severe bruising of the sesamoid/metatarsal/tarsometatarsal bones/joint. At worst, a minor fracture somewhere in there. Couldn't drive, hence my absence yesterday. Keeping my weight off it and taking a few anti-inflamatories.

It's improved a bit, so hopefully not fractured. But bloody sore.

Feeling good today, despite a restless night from our little ones. Hope everyone else starts feeling better soon.

Also, got my broadband speed increased today, now a mind numbingly fast 3MB connection (the fastest I can get due to distance from telephone exchange)...whoooooohoooooooo.

Very nice! That is indeed mind numbingly fast. Every once in a while I hit over 1MB, which is still plenty for me.

Man, that sucks. I've had sports/recreational injuries before--a few sore ribs from wrestling and a sprained ankle. Sometimes they're just annoying/get in the way of everyday tasks, but other times they can be truly painful.

I feel good. I am going to to to see Transformers in the Imax Theater at the Metreon tonight. Bloodguard Bob and Julie are going too. We are gonna meet up for dinner before the movie. I also got the box I had been waiting for in the mail today. My "Jaws" movies and my season two of Wonder Showzen arrived! Yay! :P But better than all of that, I was very flattered today to be asked to collaborate on some poetry and art pieces by someone whom I consider to be a very fine artist and poet themselves. What a nice compliment.

I feel for you BGB.

I'm feeling better now that I've had some time away from work and friends and pretty much everything. I need some space to think for awhile, and now I feel better.

Good to hear you're feeling better, BGB. Always remember the good times.

I hope SoS feels better soon so you can chase that flu bug out of your hours, Sea.

Don't put too much weight on your foot for a few days, Av.

As for me, I'm a little sore this morning. Yesterday I took the day off and golfed for the first time since June. It was a great day out; a fine way to break up the week. :)

How do you feel today?

Post by SleeplessOne »

ok so I'm dipping my toe into this thread, possibly looking for a little random sympathy/empathy

I've had a really hard couple of weeks; giving up smoking dope after 19 years (I'm 33) and it's been quite hard - however not as difficult as I'd feared .. really was time for me to grow up a bit I s'pose .. I've been to see a doctor who is somewhat of a renowned expert in this field, and he has me medicated to the eyeballs at the moment; I've been really dizzy and groggy the past couple of days - thankfully this board has provided me with a welcome distraction to the side-effects ..

*but* even more stressful than the withdrawls is the fact that the AFL team that I follow, Geelong, is in the Grand Final on Saturday - the sheer anxiety of it all !! The Cats haven't won a premiership in *44 goddamn years* and have failed to win their last 5 Grand Final games, four of which I witnessed .. if they lose again on Saturday it'll be sheer misery, if they win I'll be completely, irrationally ecstatic .. so anyone reading this thread, please send some good vibes/positive thoughts Geelong's way !!
Cheers, thanks for allowing me to vent/whinge :-)

Hang in there with the withdrawal, Sleepless (bet you're finding that name ironic right now!) Been there, and I promise you it's worth it. :D

Good Geelong vibes going out now. :)
