How do you feel today?

Hey everyone!!! Long time no see - i've been a busy little elf what with work and then my trip to Melbourne! *SQUEE!* I got to meet Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis), Connor Trinneer (Enterprise) and Alan Tudyk (Firefly) all at the one con there!!! And had dinner with Joe and Connor on the Sunday after the con....I'm in geek girl heaven...
Got pics up of my 'close encounters' in teh album!
Sorry to come in here all bubbly and excited, considering the dramas some of you are having. But there it is...
I'm still squeeing after more than a week!

My partner is at home today--scared the billyo out of me when he suddenly appeared out of the bedroom this morning as I thought he'd gone to work! He's a pirate
(is wearing a huge eyepatch). Apparently yesterday he was spiked by a bottle brush needle in the eye while mowing the lawn. This morning he woke up and...well, he drove himself all the way to Wonthaggi to the hospital. He has an ulcerated eye. Ewwwwww.
SoS is impressed (with the patch and his daddy being a pirate for the day). My partner is not impressed (with anything right at this moment in time).

Ouch! I don't know what a bottle brush needle is, and it sounds like I wouldn't want to find out.Seareach wrote:Apparently yesterday he was spiked by a bottle brush needle in the eye while mowing the lawn. Hope his eye recovers soon.

By the way, the prison is a Reception prison. We review the prisoners, hold them for 28days, and depending upon their needs and nature of the crime, we send them out to particular prisons. So I'll be busier, but will have more authority.

You dropped another one?Emotional Leper wrote:Third day of quitting smoking, and I have finally, once in my life, become GLaD I don't have any weapons of mass destruction laying around, and that I am too lazy to build one.
Reducing from 30 cigarettes a day to 6 is hard.

Good work, EL. Keep it up. You will eventually feel much better, or so I understand, having never smoked.
How is stopping the other habits going?

Keep it up. It only gets easier making many other things easier, although I'm not sure if the cravings ever truly go away; I'm going on 11 months. Playing the hell out of my guitar does wonders.
At the moment I'm feeling the strain of having been treading water for months but also knowing I'll have my money on Saurday.
Also experiencing Uberdork-envy.
