Confucius's "Analects"

Post by Lord Mhoram »

I am really eager to read these texts, but I am torn between Ezra Pound's translation and that of Arthur Waley. They are both relatively well known and unique. Pound's prose is supposed to be superior, but Waley was apparently much more learned in the area of classical Chinese. Also, Waley's is much easier to obtain. Does anybody have any suggestions for a translation?
