For Those That Hate Milos Taverner

Post by Revan »

Just thought I'd start a topic on the person I most loath, hate, despise etc. Anyone who hates this excremental peice of trash as much as me (if that is possible) sign................. and you will be made into an honourary WHMT (We Hate Milos Taverner) member.

Heretic!!!!! :P

Milos is my favourite character. Of course if I met him in the street I'd want to smack him one, but as a character he's my favourite to read about.

The Gap is like that, the worse the morals/ethics/pathology of the character, the more interesting they become.

So in summary I agree with you  Milos is the biggest mongrel in the story, and that's why he gets my vote.

We do not hate Milos at all. He came to us in the end and we offered him what he really needed.

Now he is one of us.

"excremental peice of trash" pretty much sums it up. I can't improve on that. I agree completely.

Here is what I wrote about Milos in a different topic:

Sorus found out about Angus being a cyborg because Milos, bless the blockheaded pillock, was using Angus for an ash tray.
Nick, Angus and the pusillanimous mug all talk in a pub about Morn, Davis, and Milos' money. then Warden, who changed Angus' datacore at the end of the second book, tells Angus he's got to save Morn.
The sadistic and unhinged runt, aka: Milos, told Angus' datacore to not save Morn, but Warden then gives certified loggerheaded gimp a message (recorded into Angus' datacore) saying "Milos, we have lied to you, this misson cannot be altered, your codes still work, you are still able to control Angus. When you get back from your misson, I will explain why I lied to you".
Milos, being the half-wit that he is, blames Angus for something he was programmed to do.
They proceed upstairs, into a private room. and the slightly dim hunchback makes Angus eat nics for two hours, despite the fact that he only smoked them halfway down.
However, the Bill has cameras in every room, and he and Sorus saw Angus having his nic meal.

Milos got what he deserved...although Most got what they deserved in the GAP, only Angus got off easy.

True, true. I still think there's room for a sequel.

Angus spent most of his life unrestrained, without any moral tendancies to restrict his behaviour. And then he was leashed. Put under the total control of others, unable to do anything that he wanted. Even when he finally gets his free will back, he is still restricted, restrained. He got what he deserved - perhaps not all he deserved, but some of it.

Yeah, but he also got a space Yacht, that hold all the information of the UMC, and most of the GCES.

I prefer to call it a second chance. ;)

Yeah, he did end up with a lot, considering. I'm still not sure why Donaldson thought he should end up with all Holt's data.

Don't forget, he probably got the drugs Holt uses to slow the aging process... Holt would have packed that yacht with everthing he could... not to mention the money probably installed on the ship's credit data...

I also view Angus' freedom as more of a second chance, rather than him not getting what he deserved... no-one really got what they deserved... did Ciro? Did Warden? Did Sib? Vector?

Only from his point if view. I know many readers that think he deserved another chance... not that he would have taken it, but that is not the point... few people get what they deserve.

Okat, okay..the BAD guys got what they deserved.
Most of the Good guys got screwed.

As far as Warden, Vector and Pup go...they didn't get what they deserved, but they got what they needed.
Ward would not have been able to go on living tarnished in the public eye...Pup was so messed up by Sorus, there was no help for hi.
Vec, well he kind of got shafted, but his dream (Saviour of Humanity) somewhat came true, and what would have happened if he survived...would he have been given a job working in a lab somewhere? Would he have been able to do it after all he'd been through...? Probebly not.

Sib though, he got the shaft...I wish that Sorus had have tortured Nick a bit more, just for Sib.
