Ok...I'm usually good with all these chat things but can someone help me out here?

If someone adds me to their list am I supposed to receive some kind of notification when I log into my skype account telling me this???? Because I don't seem to be getting a notification (even though someone has emailed me and said "I've added you").

How does one authorise a contact????

All I know is I have a phone icon in MSN instant messenger that allows me to see/hear people (presumable skype users) when I clinck it on. Infelice once showed my how the whole thing worked, so you could ask her.
