Bush did fair on the SATs, actually

lovingly culled from those crazy kids at UPenn

disclaimer: 1210 on the old, not new.
--this just in: kerry got 1190

8000 and climbing

ps. no one cares about your score. really.
Taken from a group on facebook called "I Beat George Bush on the SAT (Global Chapter)". I didn't join (though I did beat him) but I found it pretty funny that Bush beat Kerry. Now I have to wonder if, when he claimed he was reading The Stranger, he was telling the truth.

Not that the SATs are particularly good judges of intelligence, but whatever.

Unless, of course, he cheated... 8O

But then, I'm certain that NO one here would EVER believe that a politician would do something dishonest...

:lf:

Ok, ok, that was overdone, I admit. Still fun though.

He was also kinda young to be thinking about politics IMO.

Did he read it in French or English? 'cause I'd have to revise my opinion (slightly) if it was in French.

You know, I'm not really sure. But during the '04 election, I was researching independent candidates but stumbled upon the reading list of various pres. candidates. His included The Stranger. Was very amused.

"The Stranger"? Isn't that when you use your left hand?

Nooo. It's actually (according to Dave Chappelle) when you cut off blood flow to your hands beforehand so you don't feel them. Maybe you're really the right one though.

Maybe Bush got "jerking off for dummies" confused with a work on existentialism?

EDIT-it's probably worth saying that Camus is very laconic and doesn't use much hefty vocab, so it's actually not a difficult read.
