Urviles and Vain
Is Donaldson now that he has got the whole time machine thing going, about to bring back Vain. Or a new urvile incantation.
I can't help but think that the urviles will be significant in this new incantation of the land.
They play such significant part in the book. Their duty is profound. They exhaust themselves to save the protagonists.
Yet their purpose remains mysterious...
Bring back Vain I say for some kick arse urvile heart extraction...

I'd love for Vain to return, but at the moment i cant see it happening in a way that would make sense.
Hopefully SRD will surprise me .

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

If they brought a Vain back from the past, that would have two Vain's alive at the same time, the second one being the wooden one.
Also, if an old Vain did come forward, if anything happened to him (which would prevent his returning to his natural time and being given to TC) the results would be catastrophic.
I'm not saying that ain't gonna happen, though.

I have a feeling that before too long, the Demondim-spawn will be able to make themselves understood, and it will be really really important or catastrophic. () Either they know something pretty important, or they need to go back to the past, and they cant be told anything that would enable them to harm time.
Spoiler
Esmer is so determined that they can't be understood he took away the giants gift of tongues
