Favorite Movies

Post by caamora »

I know that most of you would probably prefer to read, but if you could only see 10 movies for the rest of your life, which 10 would you choose?

1. Gone With The Wind
2. A Lion In Winter
3. Auntie Mame
4. Bowfinger
5. Cleopatra (with Elizabeth Taylor)
6. Ben-Hur (with Charlton Heston)
7. The Great Race (with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon - I
highly recommend!)
8. Aladdin (by Walt Disney Company)
9. Dangerous Liasons
10.Armageddon
The King has one more move.

Camora, I agree with Cleopatra and The Lion in Winter. Add Casablanca, The Seven Samurai, Jaws, Star Wars, Goldfinger, The African Queen, The Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers.

In no particular order;

The Fellowship of the Ring
The Two Towers
Holes
Big Trouble in Little China
Signs
Willow
To Kill a Mockingbird
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Rudy
Raiders of the Lost Ark

I sure I could think of a few more...
"We do not follow maps to buried treasure, and remember:X never, ever, marks the spot."
- Professor Henry Jones Jr.

"Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet."

3. Matrix 1 & 2 together
4. A Walk On The Moon
5. The Reflecting Skin
6. Fire Walk With Me
7. Ben Hur

Caarmora I like your choices of Armageddon and Cleopatra.
Damelon I love African Queen also.
I would probably have to make room in my list for The Return Of The King and I have high hopes for Troy as well.

I've got to agree there. See Bruce Willis in Die Hard if you want a good action movie. Pulp Fiction and The Sixth Sense is a good dose of him, too.
