I vividly recall sitting through
Cliffhanger when I was 7, and the only thing I could think of was not being scared but being bored. Same year, I saw one of those Alien movies, and it did nothing for me. I guess it was because I saw Terminator 2 when I was 6 years old, so my standards were quite high. And when I was five years old, my favorite movie? A close tie between Robocop and Total Recall! I turned out okay.

Heck--I remember laughing out loud in the theater in 1993, when I saw the T-rex from Jurassic Park eat that guy who was hiding in the toilet stall. I must’ve been eight years old!
For me, movies were extremely important to my creative development. Had I not experienced an early childhood filled with
that stuff, I'd probably not be writing a book that involves such graphicness. I take that back; I'd probably not be writing at all! I'd probably be a totally different person--one that I would
probably beat up for not being the current me. Heh . . .
House on Haunted Hill, Sky? 1959 version or remake?
