Idea for a contest
I'm putting up WGDs, so if anybody's interested, check out the Hall of Gifts.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.β

*Syl rummages through his bag of swag*
Let's see... lint, a rusted hammer, some 8-track cassettes, a moldy sandwich (that's where I put it), and... what's this, my respect? Bah, who's gonna want that.
Hmm, better stick with the WGDs :LOL

Big round of applause for Earthfriend, Kinslaughterer, and Brinn for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the contest. The people who submitted stories all did an excellent job. There wasn't a bad one in the bunch.
Whew. Next contest someone else puts up the WGDs!
