"You will not fail, however he may assail you"
After finishing FR, I was thinking... Is it possible that the old man back in the 2nd chronicles was referring to some other "he" besides Foul or Covenant-first-time-around?
Maybe the Harrow?
Or Jeremiah?
Or Timewarden Covenant?
Too bad ol' stinky-breath went AWOL.

OK, logically, SRD made up Jeremiah AND The Insequent after 2nd Chronicles. And, Foul is still the uber-bad guy. Foul is the 'he' the old man is referring to.mirkfruit wrote:After finishing FR, I was thinking... I actually thought he meant Covenant when I was reading the Second Chronicles waaay back in the day. Foul seemed to obvious, of course he had to be fought.
Didn't SRD say he thought of the Final Chronicles while writing the Second Chronicles? If so, he could have logically come up with Jeremiah back then. I mean, he obviously shows that Foul can come into the "real" world and effect people there. He sets it up for a connection to be made again in the Final Chronicles.
