I'm finding myself unable to play Quake III because this thing on it called PunkBuster can't update itself. It's supposed to update itself on its own, but, for me, it won't communicate to the master server or whatnot. So I'm left unable to update! I've done some reading, and basically, I've gathered that I've got to make sure UDP ports 24300 through 24350 are open. But what the heck are UDP ports?! How do I find them!? And how do I open 24300 through 24350?!

Um... my boyfriend plays quake 3 and does a lot of crazy stuff with computers... want me to ask him?

Nah! I've found some servers that don't support Punkbuster, but thanks anyway!
