Congrats, Jay.

Hey, dumb story. When I was 6 or so, I had a birthday at the local miniature golf course. This was pre-Power Rangers, post-Ghostbusters. Yep, the Ninja Turtles! So, for my 6th birthday, some dude was paid by my parents to dress up like Donatello. Poor guy! Anyway, one of the activities this dude had going was a "turtle race". The thing is, when I was 4, I went to another kid's birthday, and a Ninja Turtle was there too--probably the same one. So I knew what to do to win ahead of time!

Anyway, they got us all at the starting line, on all fours. The object was to get to the finish line, of course, being that it was a turtle race. Well, when Donatello said "go", I remembered the other kid's birthday party! I deliberately went slow! And at the end of the race, "Donatello" went, "The winner of the turtle race is David, because turtles go slow!" Ah, the early 90s . . .

Um, moral of the story is: ain't nothin' wrong with going slow! Uh, I think that's the moral. Anyway, congrats Jay!

 I grew up with 'em, bought their toys, and had one of them at my 6th birthday party! I even have a life-size, cardboard cutout of all four of 'em! So cowabunga, dude!

Anybody else ever have the Turtle Pies? Like the little hostess snack pies... had green icing and vanilla filling. Man, I loved those things.

Nope...ever had "Street Sharks"? They're shark shaped ice cream treats on a stick. They've got beady little black gumball eyes...very tasty!
