6 reasons the Irish aren't so lucky
The usual language disclaimers apply.
Oh and if there are any Irish people reading this, in the interest of full disclosure we Americans should tell you that the potato blight that killed your crops was most likely sent over the Atlantic on American ships. Sorry. And when you immigrated to the United States in droves to avoid starvation caused by the blight we sent you, you were often discriminated against or beaten. Then we wrote this article making fun of you, so, sorry again.

St Patrick's Day is today. Can't have it next week on the 17th cos it's Holy Week.
Next time they change it will be in 2160 or something like that.
So Happy St Pat's everyone.

I have nothing whatsoever against Guiness, though I'm more of a St.Paulie's Girl fan.

Don't guess I'm doing anything exciting this year, but Happy St. Patty's Day to all.

*blinks* Holy week? Changing the date of St. Partrick's day? Oh. . . that's right. You westerners have Easter this coming week.

Ahhh... st Patties day.
That WOULD explain all the psychotic drivers on the roads tonight. I almost crapped myself a few times going home.

Being a proper Scots-Irish girl I went to a St. Patrick's Day party last night where there was plenty of beef, potatoes, Irish whiskey, Bailey's, Guinness and my Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake. I had two "girly" beers, a nice sized glass of Jameson and coke, and we drank Bailey shots in toast to St. Patrick and various others.

Being Irish (both parents families came over in the early 1900s, however I got me a little Cherokee mixed in from my Dad's side of the family) I know what a good Irishman should have done last night but I've never been much of a drinker. I stayed home and watched back to back episodes of Family Guy until I fell asleep.
I know I should be ashamed.

...as far as appropriate national slogans go, "The luck of the Irish" isn't far behind "The easy and high paying jobs of the Mexicans."
