The Mahboubt's eyes

Post by Unfettered One »

Again, I apologize if this has been discussed before.

I was wondering if anyone knew the significance of the Mahdoubt's eye colors. One is blue, and the other is orange.

I do know enough about color to know that blue and orange are contrasting colors, but that's about it. Do they have any more significance than that? I don't recall her using one eye for some conversations and the other for different kinds, although the colors are mentioned often while Linden and The Mahdoubt are in Berek's time in Garroting Deep.

Yup. She is an incarnation of David Bowie in the Land.

Well, she certainly is a space oddity.

Actually, Bowie could be many characters in the Land:
Longwrath - Aladdin Sane
The Harrow - the Thin White Duke
Esmer and the ur-viles - Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

And Linden Avery as the Jean Genie.

I don't know if there's any specific significance to the contrast of eye colors, but she sure seemed able to move them independently of one another.

That junk creeps me out!
